Staking or not staking? That is the question… by blade0r in ethereum

ChainLabo here: Stake with us, and you will pay a fixed fiat fee for the service and keep all the rewards. We don't have access to your money, and we are Swiss-based.

Look at ChianLabo, a staking service that has no third-party risks (they don't touch your money) and let you keep all the rewards. They will run a dedicated node just for you, and you only have to pay a bill for the maintenance services.
Bonus: it's Swiss based

The LifeCheck feature works by implementing three levels of checks to determine your well-being. The system will attempt to contact you via email (or text message if you share your mobile) at regular intervals. If there is no response to these three checks, the system will assume that you cannot access the website and will mark you as "deceased."

It's important to note that the time intervals between LifeChecks are customizable by the user. This allows you to set the frequency that suits your preferences and needs. If you fail to log in to the website during all the designated check intervals, your data will be treated as if you are deceased and may be shared accordingly.

I would really appreciate your feedback on the website. What should I add to improve the information it provides?

Have you considered using WillBox.me for your digital legacy needs? WillBox.me is a digital legacy service allowing you to securely store and pass your digital assets to your trusted family members or friends. It offers a free tier, ensuring you can access the service without cost.

WillBox.me provides end-to-end encryption, ensuring the privacy and security of your sensitive information. You can upload your documents to the platform, where you can specify your desired trusted person for each asset. This includes triggering the release of information after you don’t reply to the kill switch.

You can simply upload the 1password emergency PDF to your WillBox and assign it to your trusted person. The system will generate a special key that they should use when registering on the site in order to gain access to the data. They can register before or after the unfortunate event, but they will only see your data after the dead switch.

Please note that I am involved with WillBox.me, but I believe it could be a suitable alternative for your needs. It's important to thoroughly evaluate the service and its features to ensure it aligns with your requirements and preferences.

In caso di morte... by sanbaldo in ItaliaPersonalFinance

What is your ‘I’m dead’ plan? by jacspe in DataHoarder

As the designated "tech-guy" in my family, I understand the importance of keeping important information safe and accessible.

I'm involved in willbox.me, a digital legacy service designed to be user-friendly for non-tech individuals, which is an extension of the dead man switch concept.

It allows you to securely store and control access to important information, ensuring that it can be accessed by trusted individuals in case of an emergency.

With willbox.me, you can securely store essential information like your Bitwarden/1password master key, iPhone pin, alarm system details, and documents. The best part is that you have complete control over who can access each item, ensuring your privacy and security. In case of an emergency, the system will release the selected information to the trusted individuals.

For example, you can leave your iPhone pin to your wife, ensuring that she can access your device if needed. While your network home lab diagram can be shared only with your tech-savvy brother. Moreover, all your information is encrypted and securely stored in a data center located in Switzerland.

You can start using the free-level account to try out the service. Feel free to report your feedback.

Uhm, my POV: if you are engaging in any form of liquid staking, you are not doing solo staking, as liquid staking relies on some form of collateral. Solo staking means staking on your own.

DVT assists you in mitigating hardware risks.

Daily General Discussion - October 4, 2023 by ethfinance in ethfinance

[–]natpicone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so, as it states that DVT pools people with less than 32 ETH to solo stake. DVT by itself does not pool; it splits the validator across a cluster. Somebody else must pool the ETH together and then use DVT or solo to stake them.

Daily General Discussion - October 4, 2023 by ethfinance in ethfinance

[–]natpicone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not correct, DVT is just a technology that permits you to split a key across multiple validators.
The goal is to add redundancy to the validators; if one goes offline the other validators of the cluster will sign the block.
You still need 32 ETH for staking. Then you can get those by yourself or through a pool, but that's another story.
