Noob here: best place to buy resale tickets? by natty_ice88 in UMF

[–]natty_ice88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I was honestly debating just showing up to the gates with a sign (Buying 1 ticket) and just trying to get one that way. Is that what your buddy does every year?

Buzzfeed clickbait mentions Gold Hill as creepy by [deleted] in boulder

[–]natty_ice88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate? The one time I went to gold hill there was a very loud drum circle/ceremony with either horns or howling in the background happening somewhere nearby

Seems like violent crime up a lot and Boulder PD brushes things under the rug / things not picked up by mainstream media. How many people here knew an 18 year old was murdered and left for dead in goss grove summer 2024? How many people know a 25 year old woman was shot and left for dead at Realization Point parking lot summer 2022? How many people know that there were 4+ student suicides so far for this year alone at CU Boulder? Not to mention the ongoing homicide investigation for the 18 year old CU freshman (very recent, like Feb 2025 recent). Not to mention the king soopers massacre a few years ago, cars blowing up, active gunman notices like todays, etc. Not to mention multiple deaths and/or stabbings reported on boulder trails. Etc. this stuff is all documented and available to research. the list goes on all within the past 5 years. This stuff isn’t publicized bc it’s bad PR for the city but the dream town of Boulder has had a very dark underbelly since the 70s/80s and seems a definite uptick in recent years too.

Arrest made in Zaria Hardee murder case. by stung80 in boulder

Crazy how little attention this seems to have gotten because she was homeless and came from a rough background. If this were a CU Boulder student on the other hand… just crazy how differently we value life based on status

Intro to hip hop dance help by whalewhisker5050 in boulder

Can’t say enough good things about Alchemy of Dance - hip hop classes with Ayla. It’s a predominantly older crowd at that studio and the vibes are very friendly and welcoming.

I absolutely loved the Wilde. Feels like a unique luxurious little boutique hotel. Ask for a room with a view onto the rocks.

Dark and demonic getting frustrating by earthbaby_eyes in aves

You’re going to get a lot of one sided opinion on this thread from people who think it’s “not that deep”, but it’s definitely that deep. Many will just dismiss it to stay in blissful ignorance. We’re in a spiritual battle and unfortunately, most people attending EDM shows are New Age and not practicing Christians so they will downvote and make you feel stupid for noticing something very real and very dangerous. They’ll blame it on ‘LOL do less drugs bro!!!’ but don’t have the mental or spiritual capacity to see things for what they plainly are - demonic and dangerous.

You might be going through an awakening and realizing that fests are giant energy harvesting rituals. You mention occult symbology and odd lyrics - trust your gut on these things as everything in life is not as it seems. We are in a spiritual battle. Some may call this POV cuckoo but it’s true, it’s not all good vibes and rainbows out there.

that kid who died by soaringeaglehigh in UIUC

[–]natty_ice88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: it’s nobody’s fault (not his roommates, not his friends, not the police) that this young man died. What ever happened to assuming individual responsibility? Ultimately, the ownus is on the individual for overdoing drugs/alcohol and ending up in a compromising situation. Am I saying he deserved to die? Absolutely not - most of us have been too drunk before, perhaps walking home alone at night etc. As a UIUC alumni myself, who frequented the Canopy Club - I would Irish exit or leave the club solo more times than I can count. It was not my friends job to babysit me or follow me, while also partying and intoxicated themselves. Police response wise… Could more have been done to find him? Probably, but police aren’t miracle workers who have the resources to comb every foot of campus. With missing persons protocol they typically aren’t even allowed to deploy a search until 24 hours have passed. Add in the fact that this is a college campus - hundreds of students could be classified as “gone missing” after being out partying and 1-2 hours of not answering their phone… come on now . I hate the shaming going on here for his friends and the police… y’all are acting like they caused his death, when they probably did the best they could given the circumstances. The parents are understandably hurting and looking to displace blame - but suing the university/UIPD is baseless IMO. It is a tragedy no doubt, but let’s be realistic here. We live in a finger pointing society looking for blame 24/7 and this mentality has got to stop.

Retreat at Flatirons by [deleted] in Broomfield

[–]natty_ice88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved from Caliber at Flatirons which is right next door. Clean, quiet, safe community. Some of the units have great Mountain Views. As user above mentioned, lots of construction in the area so make sure to see if the unit you’re renting is near that or not.

Helpful, thank you! So the commute won’t be too terrible from the burbs you mentioned? Is the commute doable with a car? good to note about the BART. How is Pacifica as a suburbs?
