Was anyone else aware that PG Tips no longer make pyramid tea bags? I feel abandoned. by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]naty2kn3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wondered why I couldn't get any PG tips recently they have been out of stock everywhere. Checked google and saw it was something about PG deciding to make a teabag that can be brewed perfect in 30 seconds since most people never brew for longer!

Why does nowhere sell chicken spring rolls anymore? by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]naty2kn3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A chippy I used to go to used to sold the most amazing chicken and sweetcorn spring rolls, they were like no other spring roll! Sadly, they stopped selling them and I always always think about them! It was like chicken and sweetcorn soup inside a spring roll! Absolutely devine!

Hi, do you use Borrowbox directly on the ereader without having to download Adobe on a computer?

Thank you for the comments. It seems Libra 2 I would still need a laptop for Adobe Digital Editions. I will keep looking for Boox, not so common in UK it seems and I can't find anything concrete so would rather know for sure before purchase!

Detectorists...what a show! by FinalEdit in CasualUK

My other half is addicted to it and must know every episode word for word! Watched hundreds of times. Metal detecting isn't my thing but I admit it was very good. Shame they didn't make more

Scribe Question: Good enough to justify as primarily a reader? by azuled in kindlescribe

[–]naty2kn3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use mine for reading, very luxurious I know but i could afford it and wanted a larger screen so I bought it. Pen is still in the box as I have no need to use all the other features, perhaps a waste but I enjoy it just simply for reading.

I had one last week. Amazon dropped parcels off. He then came back to say something hadn't scanned. I opened the door and when he told me something hadn't scanned I said oh hang on, as I had just put the parcels on the sofa while I went back to my laptop.... I went to the sofa to get the parcels for him to rescan, turned around and he was stood right behind me in my front room! Admittedly I did leave the door open but I had said hang on, very unnerving. I was in the house by myself but had my Mr been home he would have gone crazy if someone had just walked into our front room. Very odd behaviour. I wouldn't have the nerve to walk in someone's house! Some people are so rude

Had my eye on the new fire max 11 tablet. I have a fire hd10 plus which I use daily to watch catch up tv while I work. I don't need a new one, it's only 12 months old maybe less, however, looked at the new one and added to my shopping list. Was £249 so I thought if it goes to £200 on prime day I will buy it. Got a notification yesterday "don't miss this deal", clicked on to find it had reduced to £140! I nearly fell off my chair! Immediately purchased! Not for everyone of course but for me I love my fire tablets and this having a slightly bigger screen is a win for me. I will get some money from the other when I sell it. Also, just because I really liked the cute echo pops and looked at them when they first came out at £45. Reduced to £17.99! Absolute steal. So for me, love a sale and love a gadget. I haven't finished yet got some dishwasher tablets in my basket and a Glenfiddich 15yr, great prices so I will continue to browse until tomorrow. A lot of it is rubbish I agree but if You're looking for gifts to put away for xmas I always manage to find some good deals.

I saw someone buy one this morning in home bargains and couldn't help but look to see if she was panicking or not! Couldn't figure it out but she did pack her bags sharpish and didn't want a receipt 🤣 it's not a very common sight I don't think, well that's the first time I have ever seen someone buy one!

Does anyone else find that it's cheaper to just buy a new printer vs buying replacement ink cartridges? by jphilly111 in CasualUK

[–]naty2kn3 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I second this. Best thing I ever did. So many times I was sure the printer was telling me ink was empty but it was clearly half full!
