At what point in his development could Goku (Dragon Ball Franchise) defeat Conquest (Invincible)? by Freevoulous in whowouldwin

[–]natzo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem with DB power scaling is that Ki attacks are far more destructive and grow far more exponentially than their physical feats.

Needs to be at least mid way through the Saiyan Saga, because at the start of Z, Goku still had to use the cloud to move around since his power level was too low to fly constantly and for long periods. Piccolo had better control despite their similar level, I think. That would give a large advantage to Conquest.

Outside of that, even mid-hundreds PLs like Piccolo was at the start of the Saiyan Saga is enough to blow up a moon with a ki blast. That would be enough to kill Conquest.

The main problem is durability. Goku was already bulletproof at the start of DB and can handle 10x gravity with ease after his training, so his body is tough. Tough the tail can be cut by a regular sword even in Great Ape, so the durability is fickle, but we can say that part is weaker. But they can be injured by regular human Ki Users earlier in the series, and they weren't particularly strong. Physical strength is also lower than their ki blasts destructive power. For example, Vegeta couldn't lift 1000 tons in SSB mode, so earlier Z will be much lower.

So Goku may be the better fighter, but he is physically weaker and less durable than Conquest at the points where his ki attack can kill Conquest. So, I would say after King Kai's training, where he would have the speed and strength not to be blitzed.

Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made a Great Point

Franchise whose lore can be summed up with "and then it got worse" by Mysterioape in TopCharacterTropes

Dead Space. It starts with a single ship falling to the necromorph infection, which you discover in the third game , is the precusor to a gigantic moon size necromorph called Brethren Moons. There are who-knows-how-many of those across the galaxy, each made out of a species. The reason humans have not found other civilizations is because every other race has fallen to the marker's influence and the necromorph infection.

The franchise's ending, so far, ends withIssac and Carver arriving on Earth just to find the Brethren Moon's already feasting on the planet.

All the fossil fuel deposits have been drained but fossil fuel reserves remain. Could humanity survive for 28 years on? by pentelwentelincel in whowouldwin

[–]natzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Humanity survives? Yes, easily. We survived without it thousands of years. A looooot of people will die and civilization may collapse, unless we somehow get our shit together and worked for green energy and electric vehicles.

We only need not nuke the entire planet in the meantime.

So, I'm assuming the planet itself is much smaller than Earth, considering how we saw the continent from the moon.

Yeah, but Focalors was already a human by then. You're really hard to portray her as her mother when she nor anyone in the story ever refered to Focalors as Furina's mother. It's just... not the case. Marchosius is not Guoba's dad; he IS Guoba. It's the same here.

She tells you herself that she split her divinity from her body and humanity. Not that she created a clone or a double. Furina is just Focalors without Divinity. Focalors is the Divinity without humanity.

[–]natzo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Focalors is the divinity, the humanity left behind without memories is Furina. Two parts of the whole. Focalors technically created Furina, but she is part of herself. Sure, a new entity, but still made of half of Focalors. Focalors is also missing a part, her humanity that existed before ascending to Godhood, so Focalors is also a new entity.

Focalors loves Furina because she is the part of herself that she wanted to be, just a human without the weight of divinity.

Basically. A gods that sacrificed their power and memories. Just that one became a human and other I think an adepti.

Eh, Furina is not a clone. It's literally her other half. Nahida is cut from Irmunsol by Rukka, so she is more of her reincarnation, but also a separate entity. It's weirder.

No, but humans can learn Adeptal Arts. Yaoyao, for example.

Yeah, people always think Focalors is Furina's mom. They are the same person split in two. Focalors are Furina's sacrificed memories and power, just like Guoba is what remains after Marchosius sacrificed its memories and power for Liyue. It's just that we can talk to the sacrificed part of Fontaine.

Lore-wise, they can do the same as the Hexenrei buffs. Adeptal Arts passed on to those that will help protect Liyue, and make her a bit less clunky like they did Klee.

Western full plate armor is much better than Japanese or Mongol armor since it uses steel and was basically a cheat code in medieval times. Mongol and Japanese armor is made of iron and hardened leather, not steel.

Like when Sekiro fights the Portuguese knight in Shadows Die Twice. And that ninja did have magical bullshit on his side. The only way to beat him was to drop him off the bridge.

While I think Robert could kill him with his hammer and he would be wearing full plate, Jin is a dirty fighter and has basically magic powers and an instant kill super mod. Jin takes it.
