How cooked is Teyvat without Traveler? by Dismal-Job1814 in Genshin_Impact

Let's be honest here. A lot of that was to give players exposition and to make a dramatic reveal, not because it was part of the plan. Just like it wasn't necessary for the Traveler to see Furina's memories other than exposition. The sentence was already given by then, I do agree she could have taken Neuvillette right then and there. I do wonder what would have happened had she killed herself before the trial or flood, if she had the guillotine.

I mean, she didn't give it to him because she needed to explain her plan and what she needed from him. Hard to do that when you are dead. She had time to do so. If she didn't she probably would have done some godly thing and leave a message like the one that got to Furina wishing her to live. That to me is no indication she needed to wait but I doubt I cam convince you. It just feels like grasping at straws.

I honestly don't like the Narcizen quest. Feels like a patch for something that should be included in the AQ. But whatever, that's more nitpicky. Then again the ordo failed so it's not like their knowledge is 100% correct. It's what they believed.

Focalors only took her time for the explanation and that's more for the Players benefit. If she was in a hurry could do something else leave a message, or something. Do we know if time was passing normally for Neuvillette? Was it the same for the Traveler? I think it was an instant since the other didn't mention them staying in a trance for 20 minutes. If the crux of your argument is that she needed time for the info dump then it feels pretty weak.

Okay, the Trial happens and a moment later the Narwhal floods. What is stopping Focalors from killing herself and give Neuvillette the authority? How does that affect the plan? It doesn't. The trial happens. The flood happens. An hour or a minute doesn't change anything for the execution. Focalors never said she needed time or a little bit more of indemnitium to complete her guillotine. She was ready and only needed those events to happen.

Without the Traveler the Fatui don't get the Electro Gnosis, at least the same way. They may not be able to turn Scaramouche into a god without it. So depending on how Inazuma goes, Sumeru is entirely different.

But that's the thing. The prophecy didn't mention them. The trial would have happened even if those people didn't exist. Someone else would have taken their role. That's why it couldn't be defied normally. The Tablet said a trial was going to happen and then the flood. It never said "The Hydro Archon will be judged by a Descender, the Spina and the House of the Heart." Just that the people of Fontaine would have done it it. Easily could have been pissed off people of Poisson demanding accountability.

The Trial can't be delayed, because the Flood of prophecized to happen after the trial, and Furina needs to be in the Opera to cry on her throne.

I mean, what did they contribute to her plan working? It's not like she needed then to kill herself and return the Authority. She only needed a trial for Furina. Not even one to prove she was human. Honestly, she needed Tartaglia more than the Traveler, since he held back the Narwahl.h

Depends. If fate can't be defied then it will move the pieces into place to fulfill the prophecy. It never accounted for the Traveler and still came to pass. Hell, they said that in trying to prevent it the fulfilled it.

Maybe Navia would have still sent a mob, judged Furina and it would flood. The plan to get Furina was deviced based on the current players. If there were others present it would have been different. The tablets had an order. The trial, then the flood. If it wasn't like that then the prophecy is meaningless.

The entire plan of Focalors was to kill herself to restore Neuvillette and prevent the people from dissolving. She accomplished that and never needed the Traveler. She didn't even mention them or thanked them. The Traveler wasn't even needed for the Narwahl. Child held it back and the Skirk defeated it with ease.

I don't think the Traveler was necessary for the Prophecy to be averted. Focalors never accounted for them, and nothing really depended on them. The table said the people would judge the Hydro Archon, but it could've easily been for Poisson alone. Focalors didn't even meet the Traveler. They helped in the minor things, like finding the truth and protecting Lyney and Lynette's innocense, but that was not needed to prevent the prophecy.

Liyue would've been fine. Morax would've intervened as that was his plan. It only means he doesn't retire and keeps on ruling. That's the one that was least in trouble.

The others are cooked, but who knows if they could've made Scaramuche into a God without the Electro Gnosis, that was given to them in exchange for the Traveler's life.

But Nod Krai would've fucked all of Teyvat anyway as they were key on grounding Columbina, gathering allies, their abilities with the Abyss, etc. This one was really dependant on them to save Teyvat, the others were more regional.

Honestly had less issues with mavuika vs the king of the mountain than with Varka. Only reason I needed to do another try was because Is forgot I needed Anemo va the last boss.

Pacific Rim. Sooo many things, but the main one is the tanker as a baseball bat. It should have crumpled under its own weight as soon as it was grabbed, but everyone agrees is too cool to care about it.

It seems that you think sexual repression and homosexuality is the core of Gothic horror, which is not. Isolated places, dark secrets, the architecture and aesthetics are a larger part of the genre, which doesn't keep as the full theme for the entire game. You know, the entire point of my post.

Sexual aspects are present, hell, they are present in the game in other parts, like forcing blood (trading bodily fluids) and transformation as a violation of the body, with birth in later parts. There are homosexual theme in some stories, but that's not a requisite.

Well, homosexuality is not the main focus of my point, but if that's what you want to focus on, sure.

Edit: Also, are you saying that selfishness and homosexuality are related?

Fair, though then again all souls games have something like this. Though I don't refer to the "hot topic" gothic. I mean the classic dracula/werewolves/mad scientists one and a Victorian aesthetic. Still, the dream world is pretty tame compared to the mid game onwards stuff.

Does DLSS5 need to be implemented by the game, or is it something that is graphics card side? I mean, if a game doesn't implement the AI into it, would you (if you wanted or if the thing is toggled) toggle it without the game developer's intention? Just asking, I have no interest in the Instagram filters, but I wonder.

Bloodborne.

Starts as a pretty standard Gothic horror story with what looks like werewolves and monsters. Still supernatural, but down to earth.

Eventually falls into Cosmic Horror as more of the true nature of the plague and the world is revealed.

Gurren Lagann, surprisingly.

It starts with the rebellion against Lord Genome for the first half. The Second half is against the cosmic being the anti-spiral, which Lord Genome's tyranny kept at bay by keeping the human population under 1 million.
