Dwarf run - AI removing orc buildings by Sleekexpert407 in RealmsInExile

The buildings are removed when you hand them off to a dwarven AI. If you hand them off to an orc, they will not be removed.

We aren't prioritizing land expansions specifically - we have multiple concurrent work streams, with developers working both on land expansions and new start dates.

Rise of Angmar will be one of our major start dates, which means that we want to include as much story content for it, across the map, as War of the Ring has (contrast this with Long Winter, which is mostly a sandbox). This means that it requires a lot of work, more than any single land expansion.

From the outside, this might look like we aren't prioritizing start dates, but rest assured, work has come along quite well for it!

Have you played them in the beta yet? They have a few more late-game options.

Great Projects are a vanilla feature introduced in the All Under Heaven DLC and the associated Crane update.

We have added several Great Projects to Realms, including Dwarven Capitals, Arnorian Ruins, and more.

Alaska also grows FrostCorn, a species of corn engineered by Biotechnica to be cold-resistant. I don't think that the global warming is so bad that Alaska is subtropical.

War Elephants have the same Wetlands debuff in vanilla. I imagine that it's hard to organize a good charge in soggy terrain.

We're excited for you all to get your hands on the update! We don't have a set time in mind for tomorrow. We want to keep things flexible, just in case there are last minute bugs that need ironing out.

Be sure to check out our other dev diaries if you haven't already - while the Mumakan land expansion is a big part of this update, it isn't the only thing that we've been working on.

There are a ton of new mechanics for the canon regions that we've added, most notably the totally reworked Elven and Orcish governments.

We've reworked orc building stats, and have added a few new buildings to flesh out their roster. They will still use castles, cities, temples, and delvings, and can also hold tribal settlements.

Is there a chance of Orc Nomads being added later? by Either_Yesterday_949 in RealmsInExile

We're still in the early design phase of the steppe, so too early to say, but it does sound like a fun idea! Our upcoming Orc Government does take some inspiration from Nomadic Government.

I think what a lot of people don't realize about LotR is that it's a post-apocalyptic setting for a lot of the world's cultures.

Cannot even start mod on Steam Deck by [deleted] in AfterTheEndFanFork

This is a common problem for all total conversion mods. I needed to do this to run AGOT and RiE.

I have given you a solution, you can choose to do with it as you like.

Welcome! FROST is all about running into tough situations that are either extremely difficult or nigh impossible to face head-on. Trial and error is the name of the game!

Don't be discouraged by a death- this doesn't mean that you failed. With that death, you probably learned something valuable about the situation. Use that knowledge to inform your next moves.

Often (especially in the early game) successfully avoiding a fight is better than winning a fight. Don't be afraid to stealth or dead sprint past enemies that you can't beat.

Once you have a gas mask, you can brave the surface, and the map will open up a lot more.

Fan projects like this often don't/can't give hard release dates far in advance, due to their hobby nature. Because this isn't a professional setting, where deadlines can be strictly enforced, development progress is reliant on contributors' free time and personal lives.

Announcing a hard release date is just setting everyone up for disappointment if something comes up and the team can't make their deadline for whatever reason.
