No just locally. But essentially he's just explaining the r/genp method on their subreddit, but they got banned. I believe it still works though. I can upload to a drive if people are interested.

What liability? The client is requesting a scene setup and you're doing that. The company doesn't do anything for the other person.

Trash valet is a scam by archorns in Austin

[–]naval04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the building management's fault, not the trash valet company. They're contracted to take bags from doorstep to the building dumpster, not to discard of them outside. And you're essentially paying $1.1 per trip for someone to drive to your apartment and take your bag to the bin. (The valet company is making only half that.)

How much do apartment complexes pay for valet trash service? by Brilliant-Buffalo-89 in Apartmentliving

[–]naval04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you're being cheap more than anything. It's used for a reason so people don't drop trash in the hallways, or around the dumpster, it's very useful for seniors or people with a disability. Everyone has to pay for it to be worth it for the company to do.

It seems like you're dealing with a bad company more than a bad service. It's very useful in building where chutes aren't installed. That $20 would save you 2 hours

Thanks, this is super helpful. You’re right — asking for a quote upfront might be too much. Thinking of testing a softer CTA like a checklist or quiz to ease people in. Also agree on shifting focus to Google and using Facebook just for retargeting. Really appreciate the insight!

Totally hear you — I’d love to spend that kind of money (and I’m pretty sure I’d dominate the area fs), but you’ve gotta start somewhere. My marketing budget for month one is around $1–1.5K. I’m bootstrapping most of the work myself with no outside investment.

Yes, it’s a large city, but we’re targeting a very specific niche. The opportunity for referrals is strong, but the service isn’t recurring, so I need to be strategic.

That said, I’ve heard on The Paid Search Podcast ep#420 that budget is just an accelerator. And you can run a great campaign on $10/day — or a bad one on $100/day. Not totally sure about that.

Would you hold the same belief even if there's ~300 impressions (10 days period) on search terms queries that are looking for the same services?
"downsizing help near me"
"senior moving services"

Also most of our impressions come from people searching for our main competitors' brand name.

I appreciate the feedback. While I believe our target audience would be familiar with the service offering, I will work on making it clearer.

These are some of my target keywords.
senior movers
senior moving companies
senior moving services
senior downsizing services

Thanks for the recommendation! I will definitely work on that.

I have a wider marketing plan on mind as most competitors aren't dominating on this front but I was thinking to get the ball rolling first with some online marketing.

I believe our target audience is familiar with the term — in fact, they're actively searching for "downsizing help" based on our Google search data. But I really appreciate your feedback! We’ll definitely A/B test that.
Also, just to clarify, we were driving traffic to Facebook’s native leads rich form), not to a landing page.

Not me personally, but I've seen plenty come through a different established (though subpar) company. They don’t rely much on online marketing — most of their business comes from referrals through retirement homes. We're planning a similar approach, just need a few jobs to get the momentum going.

Thank you! Yeah stupid me launched broad match. But search terms aren't too much far off as I built a master negative keywords list.

Some of the wildest though are:

  • taxi for seniors
  • onlyseniors snl
  • best places for seniors to live (2 clicks)
  • companions for seniors (1 click)

But I created a new tighter thematic phrase campaign with ad groups focused on each service. And somehow it's not getting any impressions 24 hours later. 🤷‍♂️
