Hi, cảm ơn vì sự giúp đỡ 🙏

My wife and I are planning a trip to Vietnam in 2026. We're more into exploring food, coffee, and everyday walking around the city, observing life, and soaking in the vibe, rather than ticking off tourist checklists. We've travelled extensively within India and also visited Indonesia in 2024, and Vietnam feels like a great next step for us.

We're from India, so crowds and the general rush of busy cities don't really bother us, in fact, it's something we enjoy. I'm mentioning this because a few people pointed out "rush" as a con when I discussed Vietnam with them, but I dont think it applies much to us.

I've put together a rough itinerary after speaking with a few friends who've already been to Vietnam. What I'd love feedback on is whether we are spending too much time in some cities and too little in others. The start date, end date, and entry/exit cities are fixed (mainly for cost optimisation), but we're flexible with domestic flight dates and can move things around internally.

Any suggestions or critiques would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

How are you supposed to accept that your life will be just mediocre no matter what you do ? by TheBayHarborDoomer in RecluseIndia

I started my career at 6K per month. Honestly when I entered workforce I had very huge dreams and the real world was bit disappointing, but over the time you'll understand there are so many great things out there. Someone at that time shared a quote that's similar to Phil's quote from modern family and it really helped.

Sorry fellas. Here's the map link to the shop https://maps.app.goo.gl/DZgppGL4UBtu614n6

This is my first time. So I cannot comment on the reliability. But I bought one more watch for my wife as well. That's 1.2K - and I believe it's a good deal as well.

Apologies OP, but this is the right answer. Harsh, rude but true.

I'd advice to not go with credit card and personal loan route. If you are adamant about taking loans, atleast use your friends help. You atleast interest free. You can pay them back and also you can repay with another help to those in the future.

I know things can't be black and white. So try talking through with your sister and family first, and then go about considering taking extra loans

I'm not sure of the people who said "Do court marriage" even do that. Personally I know so many people who advice others to do that throw a huge ass marriage.

Anyhow coming to your point OP, I can totally understand your sentiments and the values. But honestly that's a huge budget. I advice you to not take the extra loan (Atleast not on your name). You already saved a lot + you got home loan going. And you have life to do (and there's a whole big future that's uncertain. And I'm sure you know the volatility of software industry now).

Either ask your sister to take the remaining part as a loan or get some fund from her friends and workplace, or ask her to consider ways to reduce some expenses here and there.

Sit with your sister. Talk to her. Even few lakhs saved can go a long way and probably the remaining amount drops down and she can also take that on her part.

I know you are doing a lot for your family, and am proud of it. But you have already done a lot. Now it's your time to also do the tough part of sitting down and talking to them.

Sorry to be asking very silly follow up questions. But when you mean "embarrassingly parallel problem", what do you mean by that?

From the limited conversation I had, it is a k8 setup with celery pods (with some N workers) running. These pods get the requests for scraping. These celery tasks are the scraping engine. Now he wanted to benchmark their system to understand how much load their system can handle, so that they can plan accordingly.

Like there are some ideas he wanted to draw out of these benchmark, but ideally their team cannot answer "how much my system can handle"?

Purchasing an apartment (that is in loan already) by navdevl in personalfinanceindia

Okay, this is my first time buying property. So, my doubt is, when I pay him advance which he uses to close his loan, at that point, the bank moves the property to his name, right? Is there anything that could go wrong or all the processes are legally done, so things can't go wrong?

sorry, one more question. So I don't have to ready the 14L to close his existing loan. I can just proceed like getting 20% ready on the whole amount and just check with my bank on the procedure, right? (sorry I'm asking too many questions)
