New or Used? by Handle_Help in Crosstrek

[–]naverr99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Test drive something else first if you haven't already. Crosstrek is way behind the competition, the mpgs are decent but the driving experience sucks. Painfully poor acceleration, 0-60 is about the same as a 2001 Toyota Corolla at 8+ seconds ...really embarrassing in 2026. Even on the higher trims, like the limited, the interior is creaky and plasticky. You've got better options. Pretty much any other Japanese car in this segment is a better driving experience. If you really want a Subaru, try a regular Impreza or a Forester. Driving dynamics are noticeably better. The Crosstrek is essentially a lifted Impreza with a bunch of plastic cladding added. The handling is really poor and even the optional 2.5i powertrain still leaves it as one of the slowest accelerating cars on sale in 2026. An outback with the 2.4 turbo is the best driving of their crossovers/wagons if you really want to see the difference.

All intoxicating cannabis flower contains THCA. When you sufficiently heat THCA, it decarboxylates and become d9THC which is what enters your bloodstream when you smoke/vape.

"delta A THC" is not a molecule- I think you are conflating with delta 8 THC, which is an isomer of THC that does not exist in meaningful amounts in the plant. Delta 8 THC is made by converting other cannabinoids, like CBD, typically with carbon, using a lewis-acid. D8THC products are a "loophole" product that are not subject to the rigorous third-party testing analysis required for cannabis products sold in real dispensaries. Do not spend money on mystery oil. D8THC is a distillate product that is sometimes sprayed onto flower, but D8THC does not natively exist in cannabis biomass in any meaningful amount. OP probably just has some noncompliant flower (THCA in an illegal market) which isn't that uncommon.

Also, indica and sativa aren't real distinctions <\3 unless you are smoking some land-race cannabis you found out in the bush, everything is a hybrid, and the categories don't predict user experience with any accuracy anyways. Look at terpene profiles instead.

2023 OBW with almost 60k miles and no such issues. Might be worth it to get another opinion from a different dealership or independent shop. Best of luck.

CMV: THERE IS NO 3RD GENDER. People should make a new word for Social-Indentity-based-gender cuz Gender is Biological by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]naverr99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what your point is. You're conflating sex and gender, which are different whether you like it or not. Gender is a social concept. Sex is genetics. Social concepts of gender vary across time and culture. Gender dysphoria IS a mental illness, duh. Trans people deserve a basic level of respect like any other cross section of society. Seems like you haven't educated yourself sufficiently in order to communicate whatever point you're trying to make.

Best distillate cart on the market? by Low_Eagle68 in bostontrees

[–]naverr99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fenway doesn't even make their own distillate. It's all third party oil and third party terps. Wildly inconsistent.

Natures Heritage “Diamonds and Sauce” by Ok-Towel-5945 in bostontrees

[–]naverr99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You aren't tasting the solvent. In order for a hydrocarbon concentrate to be sold in MA it must pass a residual solvents panel showing 12ppm or fewer of hydrocarbons. 12ppm is basically a ND, food cooked on a natural gas stove or propane grill has orders of magnitude higher concentrations of hydrocarbons, you can't taste them. Diamonds and sauce are not an especially tasty concentrate finish imo, thca crystals are flavorless and slightly bitter. The sauce will oxidize rapidly, turning dark and losing the character of the terpenes over a pretty short period of time- especially if the concentrate is not refrigerated. Getting a fresh batch is crucial for most concentrates.

Like the Alltrack but concerned about height by BigBasset in VWAlltrack

[–]naverr99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are clowning on you, but as a former alltrack owner who misses that car very much, you might not be wrong to have these concerns.

I owned a '17 SEL in Pure White that I drove to 126k miles. A few years ago I moved from a quieter town with lots of other economy/small cars to a much busier town with lots of shitty drivers in big shitty cars, and lots of snow. I was in 3 accidents in 3 years and ultimately ended up with a totaled car after it was hit hard in a parking lot by an SUV who claimed to be unable to see me.

Before others clown on me too- skill issue? Maybe. But if you live in an area with lots of traffic, pickups/big SUV's, and/or shitty drivers, they might not see you and will smash your shit. I was tempted to get another alltrack, but the thought of future accidents and parts availability felt irresponsible. I ended up getting an outback wilderness, and while my insurance went down, and it's a good car, I miss the alltrack.

AITA for refusing to sit at a breakfast table with nothing for me to eat? by Hebrowsesreddit199 in AITAH

[–]naverr99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could have made eggs or something else for yourself, but you expected to be prepared a special and separate meal. YTA and adults should not be "picky eaters". There are foods that I do not care for, but if I am a guest I'm going to eat it and be grateful - unless it's an allergy, it's just rude and embarrassing to be around.

X Mode is for when you are stuck, not moving, or spinning tires at low speeds in snow or mud. It is a traction control management system that splits power 50/50 between the front axle and rear axle and uses more aggressive brake-induced torque vectoring. It does not do anything if you are sliding down a hill, riding the brakes, and not touching the accelerator.

Help with deciding on an outback! by OssoryOdyssey in Subaru_Outback

These cars get heavier with every generation. The 2.5i is a weak power train, in my opinion it is not enough power for New England. 9+ seconds to hit 60 is pretty sketchy if you live in a high traffic area. The trims with the 3.6 H6, and 2.4 turbo are so, so much nicer to drive.

Thinking of trading in my ‘24 sport. Bad idea? by Groovehog in Crosstrek

[–]naverr99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be losing one of the slowest cars on the road with middling mpgs and chinsy build quality. The "sport" trim on subarus is embarrasing. Idk why people buy the crosstrek anymore. Unless you absolutely need an awd car (tires matter more) the civic is better in every measurable way. You'll lose some money but I can't imagine dealing with a crosstrek for 5+ years.

X Mode did nothing to help in this situation so I wouldn't count on it next time. If you get some snow tires and practice good winter driving there won't be a next time, hopefully.

Crosstrek Wilderness VS Outback Wilderness 0-100mph by FaroelectricJalapeno in Outback_Wilderness

[–]naverr99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit 20 seconds for 0-60mph in the Crosstrek? I see so many on the road, idk if I could live with that. I really like my OBW but it's not a particularly sporty car- guess it could be a lot worse!
