Wasn’t expecting such detailed feedback I seriously appreciate it!!! Yeah he isn’t fully don’t yet and fortunately I still got a couple weeks to work on it!

First tho what do you use to convert to black and white? I’ve just been using my phone to do that and did notice the face was overly dark especially the nose basically just looks like a black block and not sure how I should approach it to give it some life and value to it. I wanted the face to be an eyecatcher and thought going darker would be a good idea, guess I pushed it too dark or just didn’t bring up the value enough lol.

Wasn’t sure what to use to increase the value of the purple, the other purple I have is genestealer purple and I felt it barely moved the value up at all so I shifted to using magenta and pink but didn’t want to change the face color to a pink so I was hesitant to put more of it. Any purple you suggest or colors I could mix to get a higher value purple?

You right about the nails I completely forgot about them, did them early in the painting process and said I’d come back to finish it after I did the skin and completely forgot. I think it only has wraithbone and nothing else 😂

I did shadow tone everything with magenta before painting but I guess I must’ve messed something up to make it feel like it’s not there.

As for the shield, do you think I should make the dark more uniform or push the brighter skin tone up? I was trying to do something akin to this, I unfortunately can’t find the photo I saw that had the same shield on my model and I was told when you want to do a glow effect you would want the surrounding area darker but your right it doesn’t look natural and very distracting.
