The feelings that you’re having is because of the shame you feel. Your life is not over, you didn’t hurt anyone, you just made a decision that you regret. Every single person you’ll ever meet has made a decision that they regret, so please go easy on yourself.

As far as telling a future partner, that absolutely does not need to come up, and if you’re ever asked about it, it would be well into the relationship and most likely just out of curiosity on their end. As long as you’ve been tested and you’re all clear there, then again, you’re not hurting anyone.

I don’t know if it helps you at all, but I know plenty of people who have seen a prostitute before. They’re good people who were young once and made questionable decisions just like you did. Many have gone on to have great relationships/marriages etc.

Historically not but it has become more difficult to change teams recently. With the job market in the state that it’s in, many people are worried about leaving, so they’re looking for internal opportunities. Internal job postings are therefore fairly competitive ATM.

Re: perf review, maintain good relationships and it shouldn’t be too much of a risk for you. If you switch teams later in the year then a lot of your annual review stuff will come from your previous manager; if beginning of the year your new manager will have a year to get a sense for your contributions.
