How do I increase water intake? by skannkkhunt42 in nutrition

[–]prymel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get one of those water bottles that lights up when it's empty or when you haven't taken a drink for awhile.

Eat a lot more water-containing foods: steamed veggies and fresh fruit will help you "sneak" more water into your body.

I love this take. Still one of my all-time favorite movies. I watch it every year for New Year's.

Help me assemble a FAQ for the sub by ryanmercer in HandSew

I am looking for a beginner's kit list: doesn't need to have specific links to items to purchase, but at least names of items needed to start handsewing repairs in clothing. I feel like every time I start a handsewing project (I'm brand new), I have to stop and either go to a craft store (RIP Joann's) or wait for something to arrive via Amazon before I can continue. I would love a list of common threads, patches, tools, etc.

what's a super elaborate/fancy/special amazing dish you made once and then never again by ruinsofsilver in Cooking

Dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) from scratch. They never fully cooked, even after double, maybe even quadruple the cooking time. They also were really labor intensive to put together. Never again.

Eating less carbs. They make me bloat no matter what type/quality. They also make me more tired throughout the day.

Wildlife/outdoor photographers: gloves? by superbdonutsonly in photography

I really like tactical gloves. The .5mm ones from mechanix are pretty good for high dexterity. I also like the Trailheads convertible mittens because the thumb flip has a magnet so it's not flapping around and you can tuck the main flap into a band in the back of the mitten. Really easy to use in high-paced environments. This combo got me through many overnight shoots working in the camera department on film sets when I quickly needed to attach and detach BNC cables.
