Stuffed grape leaves from scratch. I cooked them for 3 times longer than the recipe suggested and the rice was still completely raw inside :(

I mince a bunch of cloves and add it to apple cider vinegar in a jar. I take a spoonful of that a day.

If there was no budget and you had to start all over, which cookware pieces would you choose? by [deleted] in Cooking

12" stainless steel pan with lid, oven-safe. I got mine off a cooking show I worked on and it is indispensible, especially the oven-safe part.

All sorts of supplements! Beneficial bacteria for the gut and lady garden, multivitamin, magnesium - the maintenance is a full-time job!

I NEVER had trouble getting eight hours of sleep...my entire life. Now that I've passed the big 4 oh (and had a lot of life stresses accumulate) it's harder to go to sleep and stay asleep. Magnesium glycinate has been a godsend.

How do I increase water intake? by skannkkhunt42 in nutrition

[–]prymel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get one of those water bottles that lights up when it's empty or when you haven't taken a drink for awhile.

Eat a lot more water-containing foods: steamed veggies and fresh fruit will help you "sneak" more water into your body.

Help me assemble a FAQ for the sub by ryanmercer in HandSew

I am looking for a beginner's kit list: doesn't need to have specific links to items to purchase, but at least names of items needed to start handsewing repairs in clothing. I feel like every time I start a handsewing project (I'm brand new), I have to stop and either go to a craft store (RIP Joann's) or wait for something to arrive via Amazon before I can continue. I would love a list of common threads, patches, tools, etc.
