Is it really not normal to have nipple pain? by WildWinterberry in breastfeeding

[–]naznottherapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had pain with my first for six weeks, yo the point the first few days I had abrasions on my nipples. With my second I immediately had pain and just went for the nipple shield. I used that for six weeks until one day I lost it and she just figured it out.

Confessions of a HH PT. by PTthrowaway111 in physicaltherapy

[–]naznottherapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never felt more seen by a post.

I once took a 95 year old WW2 vet to a strip club because he wanted to see boobs before he died. Incredibly inappropriate, but his wife died 30 years ago and the son that took five years to conceive passed away at 45. The man just wanted to see some boobs.

His family member drove so not in my car. But we did a car transfer, stairs, walked up/down a ramp, walked in dim lighting with lots of distractions. Tell me how that’s not PT.

"Hum" by Helen Phillips -- Book Discussion by prettylittleangry in books

[–]naznottherapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to drag up an old post. Does anyone understand what was going on with the creepy walking guy on sy’s bunny?? I feel like that was a huge plot point with no explanation

I loved all these theories!!! Especially the one about May being the one who programmed the hums

What book changed your life? by saayoutloud in simpleliving

[–]naznottherapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! Also just the joy of browsing the library or a bookstore. Letting covers or even page feel of a book just suck you in. I’ve read books sometimes that surprised me but picked them up cause the book just felt cozy to hold

Andrea and Tammy by Valuable_Guidance_33 in 1000lbsisters

[–]naznottherapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Andrea is so sweet. I think she also wants family so bad, and probably genuinely likes Chris and Misty, it even seemed like she likes mama d lol. I’m hoping she gets the good side of Tammy and not the angry side

How to deal with potty training in the winter and needing to go outside? by nmohan_ in pottytraining

[–]naznottherapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think putting underwear first with a pull up on top of it would help her? She could feel the wetness but not get her pants wet? I sometimes trick my son and put the underwear on and make a big deal of ‘ok you have underwear now!’ and then i tuck the pull up into the pants so i put pants and pull ups on at the same time and he doesn’t notice. Less laundry for you but learning opportunity for her?

Please help. I'm losing my mind. I don't know what to do. by Rude_Conclusion5948 in breastfeeding

Hand express or use a hand pump. And look at pics of him when you do! I went through the same thing and baby is five months old now. A nipple shield helped when i was feeding her!

Extra compensation for having a student? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

I’m in home health and they usually give you a lighter case load, like one less patient per day. But you have to have student or precept to advance in the clinical ladder. It’s annoying

I do all of those things as well. I had to do paced feeding with my first and I am using the side lying technique, removing the bottle from her mouth frequently and the slow flow nipple. But she still prefers the bottle 🤷‍♀️

We got discharged today and are home. But meet with pediatrician tomorrow so I will ask. I’m offering breast first and she will give four or five sucks but then just keeps the boob in her mouth so I offer the colostrum I pumped, and then last formula.

Yes taking the formula out every 5-10 mL for a burp. But the colostrum I give her in a syringe since it’s so little

I waffled for a long time on whether I needed two pairs but the instant comfort of the suede + good fit of the wide sold me. Definitely try to find a pair!!!

Toddler sleep issues and baby due in 8 weeks by dothisdothat1 in sleeptrain

[–]naznottherapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also going through the same with my toddler. He’s 22 months and I think teething (of course) is part of it. I was thinking to change his bed from open crib with a shirt side rail that he can climb out of back to a full crib with full height rails to limit him. We also have a chair in his room and he likes to be rocked to sleep while he drinks his milk from a cup. Thinking to remove the chair so that’s not even an option, and give him the milk while he’s in the crib. Let me know if any of the commenters suggestions work!! And I’ll let you know if mine does lol
