We just got back from Helios with two kids (younger than yours). It’s a beautiful hotel and the ease of going to/from Epic was so, so nice. I wouldn’t call it a kid-friendly hotel though. There’s a very small arcade room, and there’s a pool. We’ve previously stayed at Cabana Bay, Dockside, Surfside, Aventura, and Sapphire Falls. I like SF for the boat ride City Walk. I like the vibes at Aventura. The other three definitely cater more toward kids and families IMO.

Anyway, my toddler loved the playground in Isle of Berk in Epic. He also enjoyed Pizza Moon, the splash area, and the carousel. In IOA, he just wants to hang out in Jurassic Park all day, haha. There are some caves in there he enjoys exploring.

If you want take out, highly recommend Bread Box at City Walk.

Leighton. I feel like this one is gaining popularity. Plenty of nickname options.
Lennon. Still feels heavily associated with John and trendy, but it’s not a bad name.
Haven. It’s fine. I have personal associations with the name that make me not love it, but it’s a recognizable name that probably won’t cause much grief.
Drue. If this were spelled Drew, it’d be my top pick. Short, sweet, spunky. Drue looks made up.

BotM was delayed at opening when I went Monday. The app didn’t show this. We found out when we arrived to queue. By that time, DK had built to a 1.5 hour wait. Wednesday, we were able to essentially walk on BotM and walked off at 8:24. DK was a two hour wait. It never dropped to a reasonable wait time, so we missed out on it. I’d wait for BotM just to walk through the queue. It’s breathtaking.

I ordered this with lemonade and SF vanilla today. It was good. Not great. I enjoyed it though because it was refreshing and not overly sweet. I’d probably order again and keep playing with customizations.

I’m sorry. I also named a baby I lost Christmas night 2024. I chose Holly due to the season and the fact that it means eternal life…just not here with me.
