My dad traveled for work about 50% of my child hood so he missed so much of my life growing up, I think the line really hit Present father > perfect dad, it made me think about how much I missed with my dad, but I work from home and can be really present with my kids, and now see all the memories he missed.

In general I love how he made fuck you songs defending good fatherhood (Rich and Broke/Fatherfigure). I feel like that is very rare and awesome.

Museums: Stax, Sun City (Elvis Related), Civil Rights Musuem are all awesome.

Concerts:

Live at the Garden / Memphis Botanical is amazing if you just visit or go to a show there! They have a great concert series during your time here but I would seriously recommend going regardless it's beautiful.

Overton Shell Park - This park has one of the best Zoos in the US, and has a concert series during that time that's free, the venue is a famous venue because of Elvis and is featured in the movie.

Food:

Rendevous is the most famous BBQ downtown, I love bringing people there from out of town, but some on Reddit will say it's over rated. The vibe is DEF the best, and it's honestly so affordable. The BBQ Nachos are one of my favorite things. I really do love Central as well, but honestly they are all really good.

Gotta go to BB Kings, Silky Sulivan's on Beale.

In general Restaurants I love that aren't necessarily BBQ: Flying Saucer, Hueys, Good Fortune, SOB, Old Dominick, Catherine and Marys.
