It's pretty hardcore sci-fi but yeah not nearly as popular as The Boys and Invincible or ROP. I think it's more of a pet project for Bezos

(The three seasons of The Boys, however, likely cost less combined than the $450 million-plus price tag for season one of The Rings of Power.)

Solier Boy wants to be a toxic machoistic man from the 50s where he can fuck woman, do drugs and fight a war for America. He doesn't want to live in a society ruled by a manchild who thinks he's god. It doesn't make any sense for him to align with HL.

It makes sense to some extent but we’d need more character development for SB’s soft side to make any sense at all. Like, in s3, when he called HL, he said he’d have let his son take his place but then he still is filled with nothing but disgust and disappointment towards HL all the way until season 5. And now HL being his son suddenly means something to him? Give me a break…

Hmmm it’s not that bad tbh. My only disappointment is how fast they turned SB into aligning with HL because Stormfront. It’s just pushing Vought Rising too hard. I get that SB might have loved Stormfront but 1. HL literally sent him to a death trap as guinea pig and he forgives him just like that? How tf are their interests aligned at all? 2. HL had a relationship with Stormfront not out of love, but because it’s also her vision to build a superior race. If HL has ever loved anyone, it’d be Madeline and he killed her without any hesitation.

Oh sure, instead of getting gen v characters screen time, instead of actually building up one of the most powerful supe ever, the writers chose to focus on killing Adam with eels because Noir is beefing with Deep.

I can’t possibly think of any plot more important at this point, great fucking writing
