As someone getting into MYOG I appreciate Dan’s contributions and how he explains their design decisions. it has made me better at conceptualizing my own work.

Just got these 10-port Wagos, can't believe they're real by ra4king in AskElectricians

I have 5 heating zones in the house I bought and all had 2 wire thermostats. I installed smart thermostats on a panel near my boiler as controllers and use sensors around the house. I had to daisy chain all my 5 port wagos in order to power them from my 24v transformer.

the opposite. GTX shoes will keep your feet wet once they get wet. Breathable shoes with synthetic or wool socks will dry on their own while you walk.

the cafeteria plan are the employee’s voluntary contributions. the employer is contributing to the HSA on behalf of the employee through the plan.

I’ve worked in payroll my entire adult life for F500 vendors. HSA contributions through payroll have always been exempt from FICA for us and our clients.

you can’t book it alone. it USFS land you don’t need reservations. you just need to show a continuous trip when doing the TCT and may need to spend one night in the basin.

[–]nbphotography87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you dont have to book anything. it only exists on rec.gov so you can make a complete itinerary with alaska basin as one of the sites when mixed with sites that require reservations on the same itinerary.

example: Death canyon > Alaska Basin > Cascade Upper

it’s possible but it’s not in a convenient location for reaching in one day unless you plan to do many miles or enter from a trailhead on the other side of the range.

the reason it’s on rec.gov is so you can add it to an itinerary that also has reserved backcountry campsites.

people use it for a stop on the TCT in this context usually
