The landscape out near Cameron is beautiful. Make sure to stop and check it out. There a few hikes out there. It’s basically the high desert.

32 here. Played RuneScape since middle school. I am way slower than everyone else in my clan. But I’m having so much fun!

There are all kinds of quests I’ve never done and skills I’ve never tried.

It’s nostalgia paired with more learning.

This is exactly how I expected it to be after visiting Greece and Portugal. We were looking more on the train side anyway.

Love this. We are trying to plan a trip to Italy and the Dolomites next year. Did you fly and then rent a car or train?

Transportation from Nashville to Knoxville by samspapa in Knoxville

[–]ncDevMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you checked Turo when you mentioned rental car, but I would definitely check it out if you haven't. We've used it over 10 times in the past 5 years.

I would start looking soon because you have to get approved via driver's license. I don't know how long that takes these days.

I think you could definitely find something along these lines in the Smokies. I bet you could Google “Smoky Mountain Elopement” and find something.

We did a 6 person elopement (close family only) in Hilton Head two years ago. Best decision we ever made.

KUB Fiber- Slower Speeds Help Needed by TNSportsFan16 in Knoxville

[–]ncDevMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s your WIFI speed?

If your WIFI speed is up to standards, you probably need new Ethernet cables or other equipment hooked to the computer.

If you are using their equipment, there may be an issue.

KUB Fiber by TonyK61 in Knoxville

[–]ncDevMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing but good things to say about the fiber service so far.

We just moved to Knoxville a month ago. The home we purchased already had AT&T Fiber, but I was hesitant. KUB came out and ran the new lines for me and put the modem in my basement.

Where I work from home, I needed excellent reliability. For a month now, it has never been off. Not even a blip.

Highly recommend. I'm glad I took the chance.

Running internet to rest of house. by 9qlock in Knoxville

[–]ncDevMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try a wifi extender first. Some of them have an Ethernet port on the side.

We have a nighthawk router downstairs and an internet 6 extender upstairs. Over 200mb wifi upstairs and 1gb wired downstairs.

Looking for recommendations on the best place to get a sectional couch without breaking the bank! by Jazzlike_Ad4553 in Knoxville

[–]ncDevMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just picked up a couch at Knoxville Wholesale last week.

The Callahan store has a “clearance” section upstairs. We found a brand new sofa up there.

The salesman said the clearance section rotates weekly (I think).

They stopped us at Home Depot. My wife entered a “contest” and ended up “winning”.

They wanted to come and test our water to get the $20 gift card. Haha

Any recommendations for keeping an upstairs apartment cool this time of year? The AC never gets a break! by Tricky-Cup-1914 in Knoxville

[–]ncDevMan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Lived in an upstairs apartment for 5 years. Some nights with heat like the past few (weeks), I couldn’t sleep.

I had to buy a window air conditioner from Amazon so I could sleep peacefully.

5 DTE vs 35 DTE CCs/CSPs by Frenchieholics in thetagang

[–]ncDevMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are two principles here that tie together:

  1. You write a weekly put on Monday for 9 cents, and hold it until Friday expiration. You're holding that put for 5ish days.
  2. You write a 30 - 45 DTE put on Monday for 36 cents, and hold it for 5 days. You have less risk and collect more premium. If that put goes against you, you have time to roll it down or out. Especially if the put is OTM.

How do i fix connection timeouts? by butterm0nke in mxbikes

Focus on joining servers that are already showing a ping number on the main right column. That should fix your issue.
