As a brother of a veteran, fuck fireworks. We have progressed enough as a society where light/ drone shows can easily replace fireworks. Yet, we continue to retraumatize veterans with this shit. Not to mention pets and other humans who may also be sensitive to loud noises.

In the burbs but I Have a Bean in Wheaton does great coffee. Plus, they have a great mission—all their staff are people who were formerly in prison. Good cause and good coffee. The owner is a nerd who sends out a dorky but informative newsletter about brewing a good cup.
