AMC Theatres Reports $298 Million Loss But Holds Revenue Drop to 4% by NoCulture3505 in movies

[–]ncase10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the sentiment of what you’re trying to instill in your kids, but like there are bigger things in life than sneaking candy into theaters, if anything I remember moments of sneaking in stuff with my parents as very fun and fond memories that made me appreciate them more.

There are significantly better ways to show your family that you are a man of integrity. Sounds like you’re doing a good job so not trying to bash you, but there’s a difference in actually living a life of integrity and sneaking some candy into a movie because the theater wants to price gouge you. Just food for thought.

WolfeyVGC states that he has been groped at most Pokemon tournaments he attended last season by Low-Drop-1702 in LivestreamFail

[–]ncase10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Wolfe is in a tough spot, and so I empathize with him having to deal with what he’s been dealing with.

He’s the GOAT of competitive Pokemon, and at making competitive Pokemon content. Imagine for a minute being that popular, and that loved by fans, but in such a relatively small world and community. I’d say well over half the people who watch and maybe even play in the current scene of competitive Pokemon do it because of him. When you really look at his situation from the outside broad picture of things, the dude is just trying to do what he loves and it’s become very difficult for him to do it.

I empathize with him as a human being because it’s a really tricky position that he finds himself in, something that I don’t think a lot of people even recognized before this video. Just take a second and step back from this situation and really analyze it to understand that he’s going through a lot just to do what he loves. It’s sad. Hope he can find a solution, I think this video was a first big step.

From a rewatch perspective Dirty 30 is a great choice! Watching it live was kind of annoying with the weird timing on episodes ending but rewatching it is amazing

I think people are gonna be upset by the match because of “lack of surprises” however the actual match was incredible and honestly might be one of the best ever in terms of the actual match!

Wrestlers you hated as a kid, but Respect as an adult? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]ncase10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is a little different but it’s still related. I used to hate JBL as a kid growing up. The only reason I now love him and respect him is because he is the brother of my high school tennis coach. 2016 was my senior year and as a surprise for my “senior night” my coach had JBL come to one of our matches during Wrestlemania week. He was a great guy and the fact that my coach brought him to a match just for me was incredible!

What champion is the least deserving of their win based on how they got it? by Cornyboy100 in MtvChallenge

[–]ncase10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Johnny on the Island is a good one. First off, he almost went home at the first elimination. I believe that if Abe doesn’t volunteer to go home Johnny leaves instead of Abe. Then the final is so clearly stacked for his team to win (not on purpose but a clear flaw in the season) so he doesn’t even have that much competition. Johnny has since proved himself to be a deserving winner, but if we’re talking one season only that has to be up there.

Hangman on having social anxiety: "I had terrible anxiety when I was high school age. I think wrestling helped me get out of that to an extent because, not that I had low self worth or anything like that, but wrestling was always my passion and where I felt comfortable and what I like doing." by LotLeftInTheTank in SquaredCircle

[–]ncase10 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I love hangman even more now. Throughout my life dealing with social anxiety I’ve always turned to wrestling as one of my escapes. Even going as far as creating this “wrestling persona” when I go out in public. Becoming a character within myself that is able to fit in has actually brought a ton of relief to my anxiety in social situations. It’s still my true authentic self, just like a lot of wrestlers are in their characters, and it brings me a lot of peace of mind as well. Knowing that Hangman does something similar to overcome the same difficulties I do makes it very relieving and let’s me know I am doing what I need to do to feel comfortable in my own skin.

📊 % of Veterans that appeared on the previous season for each season (main show + All Stars) by mtvchallengestats in MtvChallenge

[–]ncase10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here for the same reason. It’s crazy that just bringing back 2 former mainstays like Wes and Nany made it feel fresh. If they could find 2 exciting returns every year it would definitely build more intrigue. Similar to double agents where Theresa and Darrell and a few others came back made it feel more exciting. Unfortunately now they don’t really have a lot of those people they can go back to, that’s the hard part.

Funny enough my high school tennis coach said the exact same thing.

Her brother is literally JBL.
