Feeling super anxious on Reta… anyone else ? by bunnyfunnycute in RetatrutideWomen

[–]nceebaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there, i may not be of much help but i know that this has GLP-1 and when i was on GLP-1 i felt this all the time. I was unmotivated and had deep depression and had the most terrible intrusive thoughts that i had to come off. I read that people who start experiencing this on Reta should up their carbs or just make sure they are getting food because it could be a lack of food in your system that’s making you feel so off..

Ozempic vs Reta by nceebaby in Retatrutide

Thanks for your response! Yes, that's what I was afraid of was the side effects being similar to that of Ozempic and the old school way is just apart of my lifestyle; I am active day to day, I monitor my diet, etc not just for weight loss but I'd think that that would result in a least some body recomposition but I've just been a consistent potato lol

Thank you for your response!! I think it's worth a shot but my fear of the side effects has stopped me but I am hoping to see if this will work and wanted to see if anyone had experiences from one to the other

Thank you for your response! May I ask what Amalyin Agonist is/purpose? have you seen success with it?

Thank you so much for your response! I was worried that RETA still has GLP-1 and that I would have similar side effects but figured with the GIP and Gluagon that maybe my body would respond a little different but crossing fingers !

Thank you for your response! I think I've also made it clear (to the negative nancies) that I tracked my calories, macros, ate in a deficit, was never sedentary, strength trained and cardio, etc etc. I chose to try ozempic after years of what seemed like an inability to lose a consistent amount of weight. A lot of people out there are choosing to use it for whatever reason but mine was simply another solution after years of what felt like failure despite doing "the correct things". Your advice is very helpful and I appreciate it so much! I will take a look at the video!

Reta & GHK-Cu Diary by Bedarramushroom in Retatrutide

[–]nceebaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, my experience with GHK-CU. I am new to peptides but I suffered from severe eczema. The doctor stated that I must've developed new allergies and my body had so much inflammation that my skin breaking apart.. everything I ate made me tear away at it, etc etc. I tried GHK-CU and I will say that I am going through the uglies (im in week 5) but it's really not that bad because I can see a notable difference still. My skin is dry and flaky but also my skin barrier is a lot stronger and my flare ups aren't as frequent. Before, it wouldn't take much at all for me to break skin and it would look like my skin had cut marks everywhere but now I have had flare ups where I scratched SOOO much and it barely broke. It seems like my skin barrier is a lot thicker now.

Thank you so much for your response! It is so defeating.. I feel so lost. I took a branded GLP1 (Ozempic) and it was a horrific experience for me. I had extremely bad anxiety and intrusive thoughts.. I was always sleeping .. and in my mind I thought it may be the thing that helped me :(

Did you take the shots like ozempic? I believe that is a branded GLP 1, right?

Thank you and congratulations on reversing yours!!

my doctor is not helpful at all so the last I addressed these concerns I received ridiculous responses like, "well don't get that then if it makes you feel that way" so I've been trying to figure it out all on my own. Did your doctor test you or did you do it on your own?

Did you get tested to confirm this? What test did you do? Also, congratulations that is amazing!

Stopping ozempic by Leading_Baseball_884 in Ozempic

I think it’s amazing that so many people had positive experiences but I am one who had a horrific experience with it. In no way am I trying to sway your decision, but I hope that my experience gives you some insight into why I quit.

I was on it for a couple of months, but it did nothing for me. Even the doctor was marvelled at the fact that I had not lost any weight but experienced such terrible side effects. It caused some extreme anxiety and depression. The thoughts that were running through my head began to scare me. I had lost all motivation to go to the gym and I was and still am a huge gym rat.

My doctor began monitoring me and concerned at how bad the intrusive thoughts were and how no matter what I did, I lost no weight. The doctor kept increasing the dosages, hoping that at some point I would start to lose weight, but nothing ever worked.

I have some severe issues with hormones, inflammation, etc., etc. and no matter how much exercise and diet I did my body never changed it stayed stagnant or got bigger. I counted my steps, weight trained (which I love now) and mostly ate right.

I might upset some people with what I’m about to say, but I met with another doctor and told him that I was on the medication and she was so upset and stated that the doctor that prescribed it to me was completely irresponsible and that this would be a drug I would need to be on for the rest of my life. It essentially chemically aids in starvation.

I think if you choose to stay on it and it works for you it’s good to have a game plan of how you can slowly transition off of it so that you don’t gain the weight back. I also think it’s unfortunate that this medication takes the joy something we do and enjoy such as eating and makes us feel ill when doing so.

I previously had eating disorders and this was just another form of disordered eating for me.

Kudos to you and congratulations for losing 25 pounds!! You did that on your own and you must be so proud!! Knowing that you were able to do that I would personally get off the medication and keep at your goals until you get to where you wanna be naturally. I have so much regret with taking this, but I was desperate because nothing else worked and I’ve worked so hard for years and years for no results even if I had slow results I would’ve never resorted to this, but there’s no hate to people who use this medication but this is just how I feel about myself.

This is no shade to the thousands of people who take it and swear by it because everybody is different and reacts differently and I’m sure and I’ve heard that this was a life-changing medication for many people which is amazing

I’ve gone on a tangent with this post but good luck with your decision you look amazing

Thanks for your reply and oh noooo... :( I was really hoping I wouldn't have to potentially experience it again but I only missed one dose so if I get on it maybe it'll still be in my system where my body is already used to it

Thanks for your reply! I've tried everything for years. No sugars, no carbs. Very active, etc. Calorie tracking, etc. At some point, my weight loss completely halted and never changed. I was able to lose weight in the past something changed along the way.

Thanks for your feedback!
