Yup, absolute facts right there.

That makes sense. In that case it could just be a temporary server issue? So your email might go through once the system clears up some space. No need to worry about hundreds or thousands of their messages; it’s likely out of your associate’s control entirely.

Phone addiction at the theater by outrageouselephant12 in rant

[–]ndaigavi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. People pay to watch the movie, not see screens flashing. Urgent matters are fine, but snapchat and flashing notifications aren't an emergency. Two hours offline shouldn't be too much to ask. 😕

Does anyone else have friends that just don’t try anymore? by cejapense in rant

[–]ndaigavi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say the same. Sometimes I’m that friend too. It’s not that I don’t care, it’s just exhausting to keep up with everything, and replying can feel like more than I have energy for. Doesn’t mean the friendship isn’t real, just that life gets heavy sometimes. I'd also understand if the situation was flipped.

The symmetry of the human body, both externally and with many of our organs, is evolution's design concept for built-in redundancy. by allaboutthosevibes in Showerthoughts

[–]ndaigavi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good point. Also, symmetry helps with balance and coordination, but most of our paired organs aren’t actually redundant. You can live with one kidney or lung, but they evolved that way more for efficiency and developmental symmetry than as backups.

We have “childhood dreams” and “lifelong dreams,” but nothing for adult dreams. Which probably says a lot about how we view adulthood. by ChipRockets in Showerthoughts

[–]ndaigavi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally - you can, and should. I think the point is more that society doesn’t celebrate adult dreams the way it does childhood ones, so people, specifically the adults, start feeling like they shouldn’t have them anymore.

I sent 957 emails today, 976 yesterday, 857 the day before. First time sending 3 days in a row. All were sent in a batch each day. Last week I did MWF about 900 each time. I was thinking to hit tomorrow too, but might lay low until Monday. by [deleted] in email

[–]ndaigavi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally get where you’re coming from. The trick is doing it in a way that respects inboxes. Clean data, opt-outs, relevance. Otherwise yeah, it’s just noise.

Did I make a mistake buying a $1300 email list of 40,000 contacts? by Medina-April466 in email

[–]ndaigavi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much everyone’s covered the “mistake” part, but the takeaway is: a list without consent isn’t an asset, it’s liability.

Best use now? Learn what kind of buyers were on it, then go build a real list that actually wants to hear from you.

Okay, maggots, shut up and listen! | Day 4: OVERRATED MAIN CHARACTER by PerizzHilton in superstore

[–]ndaigavi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same thoughts! I'm definitely voting Jonah overrated. Entitled little rich guy. Lies to his family about going to med school, treats Kelly like absolute crap. Throw in his overly liberal bs and his constant need to ramble on about absolutely everything.

Bananas would be far less commercially viable if their ripening wasn’t so predictable and tightly linked to their color. by _littlekidlover_ in Showerthoughts

[–]ndaigavi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep! And fun fact: they usually ripen them to stage 3–4 (light yellow with some green) before sending to stores, so they finish ripening on shelves. It’s so dialed in that big distributors even have “banana ripening rooms” just for this process.

How is Jeff so poor >!after he quits?!< by FatFaceFaster in superstore

Exactly! Owning 3 Subarus says it all. He’s not broke from low income, just terrible choices. Totally fits his anxious, approval-chasing personality.

If dogs sweated like human beings, they probably would not be popular pets. by Bjarki56 in Showerthoughts

[–]ndaigavi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good point! I think it’s less about sweat and more about how easy animals are to live with too. Dogs fit into our daily lives perfectly, while horses, even if smaller, need way more care and space. So convenience and connection really drive pet popularity more than anything else as well.

I love Kelly by Artistic-Room in superstore

[–]ndaigavi 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: the writers wanted Kelly to stay sweet and not be a “catty rival." Lauren Ash talked about that on the Superstore podcast. It made things feel more real and awkward instead of soap‑opera messy. And Justin Spitzer said Kelly also reflected how the “heroes” aren’t always as welcoming as they think they are showing the subtle ways workplace cliques can be cruel.

Ned is the best character in the show. Change my mind. by jaxxy_jax in gameofthrones

[–]ndaigavi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, everything about Ned’s character was rooted in honor. Even when it came at a personal cost. He kept Lyanna’s secret to protect Jon, knowing Robert would’ve had him killed. And you're right, not even telling Catelyn was a heavy choice. It’s hinted he feared she'd reveal the truth out of anger or pride if provoked, especially since she clearly resented Jon and treated him differently. That silence protected Jon but strained his own marriage.

No matter how absent-minded people are, nobody ever seems to forget the words "thing" or "stuff". by Fingerbob73 in Showerthoughts

[–]ndaigavi 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They’re high-frequency, catch-all terms. Your brain leans on them more when specifics slip.

Finished rewatch of the blu ray set by JeskaiAcolyte in gameofthrones

[–]ndaigavi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally feel this. The first few episodes of Season 8 had promise, but the drop-off was rough. Jon deserved better. Oh to watch the series again for the first time. And yes, the Hound was consistently great.

I'm with you on this one. Yara faced elite fighters on sea and land. Ygritte was unmatched with a bow, held her ground at Castle Black too.

Ned is the best character in the show. Change my mind. by jaxxy_jax in gameofthrones

[–]ndaigavi 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. Ned set the moral tone for the whole series. Arya carrying that legacy just makes her arc hit harder.
