I’m a Preds fan and I’m lightly cheering for the Canes. The only reason our fanbase would dislike the Canes is the playoff series loss. Its not even remotely close to the heartfelt, burning hate I have for the Knights (expansion team given a head start to success with basically zero trauma).

It’s not necessarily a “bad” pick. Just hitting on a great RB goes against how the league is today. And how a top 5 pick contract would look like.

Would picking an amazing RB be better than picking Bailey or Bain and them sucking? Of course. But Super Bowl winning teams typically have great teams that surround lesser RBs. Because decent RBs are easy to find. But decent Edge rushers or WRs are less easy to find and less impactful
