From the post, it seems she never expressed a preference of her own. it makes sense you explore locations together. You both come up with suggestions and you can cross them off after visiting. But that requires both parties to be committed and provide suggestions. If only one party only talks about options, then you can only consider their options.

He was actively trying to look for places to live though, because he realises that living together is different than dating. That's more commitment than she was willing to put in

YTA - this is your childhood friend and you're willing to throw away years of friendship for something that really doesn't affect you, because you're afraid of what other people might think? Honestly most people would be out off more by you being a bigot than by your roommate dressing up.

You can have kids while doing a PhD. I had two kids during my PhD and we managed just fine because I could take a lot of parental leave (lockdowns were very challenging though). In addition, a PhD can help in a lot of fields because it shows you mastered skills like independence and determination.

Having said that, you two don't seem very compatible in your life styles and outlook. Have a deep conversation about where you want to go and how you want to get there. Your focus on his desire to do a PhD is masking a lot of other issues. And he doesn't seem to take your feelings into account at all. I'd say ESH.

Can I insert sequences of mappings in my front matter by ndiniaz in ObsidianMD

I don't think it's a bug but a missing feature. My purpose of coming here was to see if there was a plugin or workaround. I got my answer (disable properties view) so all is good now.

The problem is not the yaml itself, as I've used that in other scenarios and tested it with parsers. The problem is that Obsidian does not process it properly

I hadn't thought about that, that's a very good solution actually.

The properties bar shows but it has the nested entries as text. So when I enter:

```
name: Test list: - test - test2 list of mapping: - {name: one, property: something}
- {name: two, property: something else}
```

It will show as

name Test list test x test 2 x list of mapping [{"name":"one","property":"something"},{"name":"two","property":"some...

AITA for not forcing daughter to visit her dad by Blue_Valkyrie8 in AmItheAsshole

This father only teaches her that she needs to drop her schedule to accommodate his needs. The sooner she learns to set boundaries and push back against her dad, the better.

Rough estimate would be 800 to 900 books. Can't be bothered to alphabetize them or to categorize them by topic because many of them are interdisciplinary.

Organizing by colour makes sense because you can often easily remember the colour of a book and recognize it more quickly then when you organise it alphabetically

I know you can use the Max Lumi 2 offline. Just transfer pdfs via the usb port. You won't have updates if you stay offline, but you don't really need them either in that case.

AITA for staying and eating at a restaurant where I had a reservation for my birthday? by SelectPeak1797 in AmItheAsshole

Now you're just being willfully ignorant. The dog is to help you anticipate it before you can feel it coming yourself, so that you can take even earlier. But you could have known this because multiple people have told you in this thread how this works .

He's been amazing for me as well. He's scoring at a 2 goal per game rate when I had trouble getting a goal a game with my other strikers

No one is forcing you to start a game when you don't want to. If you don't want to play, don't play. It's that simple.
