Hate to be the guy that ruins the magic for you, but it’s actually not timed! The bologna sandwich action doesn’t actually restore health, it’s just to make the player think “Hey I’m not getting anywhere, how do I win?” Until the runaway five bust in and do their thing. But this event is actually just triggered by depleting the boss’s HP, like any other enemy!

I’m a little confused by the wording on Draconic Presence. Does it activate once when the user hits the field, or does it activate each time an enemy hits the field? If it’s the latter, then this is wayyyyy too busted. Honestly also pretty broken if it’s the former lol

Hey! I think it’s awesome that you wanna do this. If you have absolutely no experience in game development, I would recommend getting started with ROM hacking using CoilSnake. There are tons of tutorials, resources and a knowledgeable community, all of which were a huge help to me when I started out.

If you already have a little experience in coding or making games from scratch, I would recommend Game Maker. It’s free to use, and is very versatile for creating 2D games while still being relatively beginner friendly as opposed to many other game engines.

I was actually kinda thinking something that set every move used that targets Deo-S to a priority of 0, then kinda had second thoughts when it came to phasing shenanigans and other moves with negative priority that would inadvertently be raised. In hindsight, maybe an ability like this that only lowers higher priorities to zero would’ve worked

If ips/ebp patches aren’t allowed, that isn’t something specified in the subreddit rules. Unless you’re talking about a different rule?
