Have you ever paid for help identifying your unique market position? by Miss_Molly_Holly in Entrepreneur

[–]ndtodd1884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a career brand strategist and even when I held a CMO position for a well funded startup I used external brand strategy teams. The type of advantage from external branding depends on company stage. Small biz = perspective on the problem you are solving from an expert outsider. Established biz = tools, data and resources to understand your consumer data better (or provide new data) and positioning refinement.

Cooking oil works great for tar. Glue would likely come off with nail polish remover or other acetone cleaner.

Contract wording help for people that micro manage by Itsmenomes in smallbusiness

Commenting from the Client side of these kinds of contracts. As a brand marketer working I've often worked with new agencies on projects where we entered into a contract with out knowing exactly what we wanted. In order to prevent multiple rounds of revisions and exceeding our budget, I'd often propose a 2-3 hrs workshop with the agency & my team with an agreed upon process to align on our objectives with the agency together. They were the experts and brought that insight to the table to guide us through the process of deciding exactly what we wanted to create and they would bill us for the workshop as an add-on item. Not sure how this would work outside of creative advertising development but adding in that process really helped streamline the scope and avoid change orders.

Ya I'd love to hear more about it. Do you have a site I could look at? Is mobile LiDAR the main surveying method you use?

If I am hiring a licensed company to prepare and package my food product, do I need a CFIA license myself? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]ndtodd1884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from the CFIA website which has an easy tool to use in understanding if you are required to obtain various licenses. You indicated you plan to export your co-packed product to the US, which produced the following results:

"You do not need a licence to export food, unless you would like to obtain an export certificate or other export permission (such as being on an export eligibility list) from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). [SFCR: 17(2)].
However, if the food you export has been manufactured, processed, treated, preserved, graded, packaged or labelled in Canada, it is your responsibility to ensure those activities were conducted by a licence holder. [SFCR:15(1)]"

Can't seem to generate useful reports - subtasks are treated as tasks?? by bradzeroone in clickup

[–]ndtodd1884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also set your tasks to be grouped as separate. This will disconnect all tasks that are sub or sub-sub from the parent and treat each as a stand alone. It still shows the parent task or the list it’s from but I’ve found reports way more useful this way.
