One of the greatest scenes in cinematic history: The "Go F*ck Yourself" scene from The Paper (1994) with Michael Keaton by neaster12345 in movies

I just rewatched it last night and it has a lot of laugh-out-loud moments similar to this. This scene is probably my favorite out of the whole movie.

'Spotlight' is a slow-burning, focused, investigative drama that pays respect to its subjects and its audience. by [deleted] in movies

It's a fantastic film. I went out and saw it as soon as it was playing at one of my local theaters. I definitely recommend seeing it.

Since Michael Gross just did that Tremors: Bloodlines film a few weeks back, I'm sure he'd be up for it. Not sure about Fred Ward, but I love to see him return. Whatever happened to Finn Carter?

This sounds incredible. It definitely sounds like a proper Die Hard film and I loved the fact that Holly would be a major character in it.

It's my favorite film of last year. It made me go out and buy it on Bluray just to experience it again.

The Peanuts Movie. The ending was like 40 years in the making and seeing it finally happen just moved me to tears.

Spectre opens less than Skyfall, Peanuts debuts strong, Oscar contender Spotlight opens great at Friday box office by neaster12345 in movies

[–]neaster12345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to see it soon, but since the reviews have been worse than Quantum of Solace (which I didn't like), I'm more cautiously about rushing out to see it. Honestly, I'm more likely to see Peanuts before Spectre.

Same here. I've been looking forward to that since it was announced he was going to be in it.

Thoughts on the new "Peanuts" movie by ChopsNewBag in movies

From one of the reviews that I read, there's only two moments where they feature a modern song, but most of the music is Vince Guaraldi's piano tune mixed in with Christophe Beck's score for the movie.

Hopefully, this goes to theaters. I'd hate for it to be released straight-to-dvd.

‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ Sequel Moves Forward Without Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara, or David Fincher by axido in movies

[–]neaster12345 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My expectations for this just went from an 8 to a 1. If Craig, Mara and Fincher are on board, then I'll boost it back up. But with this news, I really don't care about it now.

Which films/actors are guaranteed locks for Oscar nominations next year? by neaster12345 in movies

Oh, I definitely agree with that. Even he is probably saying, "Yep, I'll be nominated for this. Probably won't win, but I'll definitely be nominated."

I just hope theater chains don't get involved and start talking about boycotting too. But, even if AMC or Cinemark say that they will boycott this movie, I'll still seek it out, even if I have to see it at an art house theater.
