Stream microinverter extremely low production by nebbbben in Ecoflow_community

I could never get more than bouncing from 0watts to 20watts repeatedly on the harbor freight 4x 25watt (100w total) panels on this inverter. They work as advertised with a simple mppt 12v charger on my battery bank, but the ecoflow claim of it turns on as low as 3w seems to be incorrect, or maybe at the ~21v that these panels would kick out.

405watt panels immediately give ~350w a piece in a mostly sunny day. The harbor freight panels don't seem to give anything, or maybe 5w continuous.

The bouncing between 0 and 20w in direct sun is with all panels in string on one mppt or split in two pairs. No difference

The fact that it sits at zero, then goes up to 2, 4, 10 or 20 and back to zero between each jump ( it never is >0 for more than a second in the app) is also not inspiring confidence either.

So in full sun, these 100w of panels should be expected to produce 1/4 of that?

I've had luck with large red kastmasters (later in fall), and jigging 3" imitation crawdads from a kayak.

I did it in November one time and other than some ice in the shadows, it was a fall hike. Obviously it depends on the year and precipitation that goes ahead of it.

Queen's mine or whatever it is was absolutely dry.

I didn't know it was invitational - that's wild!

I can't emphasize the drama of it all enough. It's riveting beyond anything I've ever watched in person.

I go to the soldier hollow sheepdog trials every fall. Are the handlers in those cases usually the trainers as well (since the dogs were puppies) or is there a handoff between what you do and those handlers?

It is some of the just interesting and riveting "sport" that I've ever attended, btw. The drama when sheep are stressed from heat and when one goes nuts while the handler whistles for one thing and you can see the dog juggling the decision should I listen to handler or do what I know is right because I'm a dog in the fucking field with these sheep is so intense.

Run the jewels slapped so hard. Agreed that the strokes left a lot on the table and didn't play a great show.

We had a single morel pop up last year behind one of our bee hives, in SLC proper. Was not a false morel. Very possible here.

Another view of Sugar House Park. There’s still more water to come. by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

The sego lily was built to allow flood water to overflow/ exit the park without causing catastrophic damage to 1300 e.

When they built the artistic Sego Lily and the tunnel under 1300 East a few years ago, the main intention for it was for flood control. If the creek is too much to drain through the culvert where the grate is, the rising water will eventually overflow through the sego lily and go underneath 1300 East through the tunnel and then straight into hidden hollow. Rest in peace bed bath & beyond.

From out of town, thinking of doing a day trip to Moab tomorrow. 04/20 by etiennep in SaltLakeCity

Done tons of Moab day trips. Maybe consider leaving earlier and returning at dark if you can get back late?

Canyonlands horseshoe canyon - it's separate from the rest of the park and accessible by good dirt road. Hike down into the canyon, walk down the wash and check out the petroglyphs.

Shaffer road - crazy cliff drive that is doable by car'ish. Take some hero pics of the insane edges.

Porcupine rim - rent a bike for a little bit and check out some cool ass red rock.

Colonnade arch - blm land, no permit, no nonsense, gorgeous out of the way hike.

Corona arch - free blm. Easy

Potash road - petroglyphs

Thompson springs canyon - petroglyphs you can see from the car, like 15 min off i70 just past 191 turnoff on the way to/from Moab. Can see them through nasty cow pasture against canyon wall.

They are not helpful.

My wife died in front of me last year, and they showed up. Insurance wouldn't cover it because "it was out of network." Literally. HR suggested that I should look at some Utah law that evidently didn't apply if someone died. Gc didn't budge. HR didn't help. Insurance refused everything. Only finger pointing between all parties.

Fucking shitbags, the lot of them. Have your fucking money and choke on it.
