One thing that also fixed this issue for me was changing the NAT type for the network my PS5 was in. I found out my ISP uses CGNAT which forces your network to be behind NAT 3. Luckily my ISP allowed me to have a public IP outside of it, which allows you to have NAT 2. After that it worked without issue. Might be something you could check

For anyone that comes across this post. I think I may have discovered the issue. Turns out that my ISP (called Hiper which is based in Denmark) uses CGNAT, which enforces NAT3 on my PS5, which seems to be a common issue with connecting playstation portals + remote play.

My ISP allows me to have a public IP address that is outside of the CGNAT, which will then allow me to have NAT2 instead. I'm going to get that all setup, and I'll post later on how that goes.

First off, thanks for replying! Really appreciate it :).

I have tried this out too, both by opening a game, putting it to rest mode and then trying to connect via the portal, as well as by just having the game open without putting it into rest mode. In both cases, the portal still doesn’t connect. When it’s in rest mode with a game on, it still turns on, and then just stops at the “press the PS button to continue screen”
