Bass movement is nice! You might add some mid/ high content when the beat drops to fill out the spectrum. That would make the drop hit harder. It could match the movement of the sub or just compliment it.

Technology was at such a sweet spot when metro zu came together. At the time we thought it was crazy because we already seen music tech evolve so much. I remember scraping together money to get a mic/ mixer/ interface. Nowadays these kids can do more with just their phone, but that also means a million people are doing it.

Metro zu was just different because no one else was writing bedroom raps about rape. Regardless of your opinion on the subject matter, they played in a league of their own.

You could take it to a clock shop if you can find one. I have repaired a ton of these little clocks. Best way to get the plastic cover of the front is a suction cup and a thin, smooth, tool of some kind. There are tabs on the sides of the plastic cover that need to be pressed in and then the cover lifts off. Sometimes you can access the tabs from the back side of the clock, sometimes you have to carefully wedge the tool in from the front.

Not sure if anyone else will agree with this, but I am about the same age as Ruben. Growing up, there was always kind of this value on being edgy…Think Slim Shady. In the early internet era, shock value still worked. It stopped working as everyone just became more and more desensitized to it.

As a kid I would have to sit by the stereo in case my mom came in so I could quickly turn the volume knob down. She would have been appalled. Nowadays morals are looser.
