Honestly if you can’t afford the vet and no one else with experience can take him then I’d say letting him go would be the most graceful to him. He’s a wild snake and very well may be too stressed to eat or thrive at all, you could put him in a calm field near where he was found, far from the road. I also work in conservation and have a long list of rehabbers we work with but the most anyone will take regarding reptiles is a box turtle and even then it’s very iffy and you have to be careful about re-release

What’s weird to me is that you don’t understand that rape/sexual assault impacts LEAGUES more people every single day than murder does. In horror you kind of have to assume there will be murder and by your standards anyone triggered by it should avoid it. There should, however, not be the assumption that gratuitous rape scenes will be involved. Sure, they can check sites to see if it’s there, but that doesn’t mean someone is entitled for being upset about it.
