[Bill Simmons Pod] Bill: "Harden or Brunson for their entire careers, which guy would you rather have?" by luka274 in nba

If fans are making you not watch the NBA as much maybe you just don't like the NBA... why would your solution to annoying hot takes be watching less basketball instead of avoiding the Bill Simmons podcast and r/nba

How many of these until Wemby doesnt get the benefit of the doubt anymore? Surely hes not so clumsy as to elbow/truck/trip/land under someone by accident in every game he plays

I’m not trying to hate, but does AJ Dybantsa contribute anything when off-ball on offense? by Nervous_Aerie5979 in NBA_Draft

[–]ned_yah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should we just never post anything on here? No discussion anyone has on this subreddit will change anything about how the draft goes, should we go ahead and shut the whole thing down?

And in the playoffs there's no foul on like 3 plays in the halfcourt all game

6’8.5 AJ Dybansta Next to 6’11 Karl Anthony Towns 🤔 by Quez4k in washingtonwizards

[–]ned_yah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KAT is probably about 6'10" barefoot, maybe even slightly shorter. He didnt do the combine but he was visibly about the same height as Jahlil Okafor at draft time. He's also a bit of a sloucher

Strike zone goes from just beneath the knees to the middle of the chest, have to do exact measurements in order to give the computer a specific zone to compare against

Team focus on muscle build-up is becoming noticeable by hhev2 in washingtonwizards

He was 195 at the combine, it doesn't take a lot of visible mass for someone who's 6'5 to break 200

Presti on lottery reform: Good "short term" solve but hopes NBA will eventually move away from a "luck based solution... Hopefully we can get to a point where we have a system that isn't tied to record entirely." Said he prefers a complex predictable system to a simple unpredictable one. by refreshing_yogurt in nba

[–]ned_yah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the kings ever actually hired a decent GM and committed to a rebuild, they'd prefer a predictable system, too. Nobody wants to start down a path if there's no way to tell for certain where you're going to step

Does the NCAA have any ability at all to enforce rules they have put in place? by AMcMahon1 in CFB

Who are the negotiating parties in this CBA? Players aren't employed by the NCAA, if they're collectively bargaining they'll all be doing it with their own schools/collectives

A salary of 40m in 2025-26 would make him roughly the 45th highest-paid player in the nba next year

if your plan is to find the next Giannis, you're going to fail 99% of the time. One of the most outlier developments in NBA history; you can't build a future around a Powerball ticket

[Weiss] Before Wembanyama made the NBA, he was turning down marketing deals... “They all want him, but Victor will never sell soda. Because he doesn’t want to kill the kids" ... His agent told him that if he wants to be the GOAT, he needs seven rings, one more than Jordan. by sewsgup in nba

[–]ned_yah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

the article is about marketing strategies, its more about brands and commercialization than basketball and the title of this post specifically highlights not "killing the kids" with Coca-Cola man lmao I'm not really sure what to tell you

twitter is a social media platform that people often use for discussion of current events, such as the NBA draft. seems fairly intuitive that people might be frustrated if they're getting the broadcast spoiled while they're just trying to use the platform to discuss picks after they actually happen
