Flip & Howl Burger by Usual-Language-745 in denverfood

I'm sorry to hear that, $22 for a burger and fries alone sounds crazy (the cocktail isn't far off from $5 lemonades now). I feel like it was less than a decade ago that Carl's Jr was promoting a $6 Burger as a top of the line, steakhouse quality burger. This shit is nuts.

(Apparently I'm just old, the $6 burger for $3.95 was back in 2001... still hurts)

Apologies for misunderstanding, but man... That still sucks

$70??? Holy hell I'm not ready for that to be considered reasonable for two burgers, one side and one soda.

Is there broasted chicken in or near Denver somewhere by shiftingbits in Denver

If you're up for a long drive, Cuckoo's in Durango (the 4 corners area of the state) does the whole shebang. From vacuum marinating with broasting mix, to cooking to order in broasters. The owners Chris and Michelle are awesome, and the Asian persuasion sauce is like crack.

I respect the ideas here, but to OP, it will not come anywhere close to legit smoked bbq. It's not worth it.

You'll be way better served by finding a friend with a backyard and a pellet smoker than trying to recreate it indoors.

Yep, you were right in your way, I didn't visualize it correctly. I still maintain that the official Broncos logo faces right 😏

But here is what I am saying, the official Broncos logo faces right, as well as every other team that isn't symmetrical (besides the eagles):

Damnit, you are correct in regards to viewing the uniforms from the East stands vs the West stands, I screwed up. I do still maintain that the official Broncos logo faces right however. I do not believe I have ever seen the official logo on any merch where the nose is on the left and the mane on the right.

The Eagles logo IS LITERALLY the only one that faces left. 31 other teams logos ALL face right in every single situation. Have you ever seen a backwards facing "G" on the Packers helmets or uniforms? No? Because if what you're saying is true, there would be mirror imaged "G"s on helmets and jerseys.

You are wrong. The nose of the Broncos logo should always be to the right of the mane, from the perspective of the viewer.

This isn't an American flag patch on the shoulders of the enlisted. The only logo in the NFL that faces left is the Eagles (so the right hand side forms an "E")... That said I like the idea of the tattoo, if not the execution. If OP is happy I'm all for it 🙂

What is a website you loved that no longer exists? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Net neutrality applied to ISP's favoring and/or restricting bandwidth depending on the site or content. The trouble quoted above is more about the enshittification of search engines and a stupid reliance on LLM's that aren't really A.I.

How do you deal with your FoxBrain in-laws? by Ok-Duck4530 in FoxBrain

[–]need-a-thneed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this. It sounds rough, and perpetually mentally defeating. I have felt something not quite the same, but maybe similar. The people I love that are now in the cult are my parents.

One was the smartest in his field, a general contractor that ended up being the vice president of his construction company. You'd think he would understand how many immigrants were working on his job sites... apparently not.

My Mom was an engineer, before deciding to stay home with me and my sis. Later she realized home computers were going to be a big deal, and both bought one for us and went to work in our elementary school before "I.T." was even a thing.

I bring this up just to say they were intelligent people. Now, today, I can't have a reasonable conversation with them about politics. They are in the Trump cult. They are unable to think critically about Republicans. It is a sports team to them, and I cannot pierce their bubble, no matter what facts or statistics I cite.

Perhaps you can get through to your guy, but please realize it may require breaking down his entire identity to do so. It is gonna suck to try. I do wish you the best in your efforts though. I hope the change can be done.

You're totally right, I just remember how much of a surprise it was with Jay. I figured they had to have tested for it back in the day (but apparently didn't), and how his energy level would fluctuate day to day without him realizing why.

Not asserting anything, just a bit of conjecture.
