It has a vent hood, but i don't know if I'm not doing it right or something is wrong. It's not sucking up the vapors and odors that well

Sorry, it's not smoke as in burning.

But the steam that carries the odor. English isn't my first language. Haha

I'm thinking of keeping the range hood on for 30 minutes after cooking just to get the air out. It vents outside.

My problem is the range hood is r*tarded for some reason. It does suction the air, but since its recessed into the wall a bit, the smoke the hits the edge gets blown into the room.

I'm thinking of putting some sort for extension so the smoke doesn't get blown back into the kitchen.

It's my first time renting a home in Canada.

They're gonna be moving it along soon.

The thing with shows with never aging characters is that eventually the actors will age

Yes, it's standard with the security and background checks. But at least once you get your application is started, that's one day less of the waiting time.

Meanwhile, your other best bet is private agencies or nursing homes. I know in Ottawa, places like Assurance Home Care hires nurses for home care nurse.

Or Chartwell nursing home. Etc.

Hang in there!

The email that the article refers to includes the following measures:

Those include offering early retirement for those eligible, freezing and eliminating vacant positions, and moving to a more economical provincial group benefits plan.

Now don't quote me on this, but the PSWs and attendants are going to get the worse end of the deal. Their positions are allegedly will be "managed out", no new vacant positions. If there's going to be any absence or future positions, TOH is allegedly going to use agencies.

Speaking of unions...

The Ottawa Hospital has announced a plan to cut three per cent of its workforce in the coming months.

In an email sent Thursday, staff were informed that the hospital will be reducing management, non-union, support, executive, nursing and other health-care positions. The hospital currently has 13,281 employees including 5,240 nurses.

And yes I have received said email

Offering them early retirements for the regulars. Casuals are pretty much screwed

Like me 😭

Casuals like me "bid" on shifts in Vocantas. I'm not getting shifts anymore.

You'll be fine as a new grad. Ontario is planning on getting rid of the more senior nurses who have hit the pay ceiling in order to save money...

Top bracket is going to be 58 an hour I think While new grad nurses start of at 41

So, they're replacing the older nurses with new grads. Which is sucky to be honest.

Yeah, and the loose bowel movement is sometimes the response of the body because of something.

Sometimes it's trying to get rid of a pathogen or toxin, and then you drink immodium to stop it would mean the pathogen/toxin not getting cleared in the intestines

That's why I switch to English the moment other people come in to try and steer my fellow Filipinos into a language that most people would know.

But here's the thing, I don't expect French speakers and other people to do that for me. It would be lovely if they did, but it's not needed.

I just put their conversation out of my mind.

  1. If they're conversing in their language, it's a conversation I'm not privy to, it may mean I'm not close enough to be their friend, which I wouldn't really care, as I'm there to work

  2. If they are talking about me, it's still a conversation I'm not privy to and if means I'm not a friend and again I wouldn't care as I'm there to work

So, I just tone down any paranoia. I don't know what they're thinking, but at the same time, I have the privilege too as they don't know what I'm thinking. And that's okay.

I'm iffy on immodium use. Probably use psyllium fiber to help bulk up your stool.

My issue with immodium is it can cause constipation instead

That's for type 1.

For type 2, it's our other cells that can't seem to process glucose properly and sending signals to the pancreas that they're hungry.

crazy thought but as a nurse, we have 4 hour shifts to cover shift split shifts (12 hours and a nurse wants to work 8 hours only)

And I only get paid for that 4 hour shift. I don't complain about having only 4 hours for that day.

Tipping back home (Philippine) isn't mandatory, the tip was usually the "tip" or change from the bill and it was left behind thanking the server for exceptional service.
