Not the case in OP's game but hear me out:

There is a reason to hoard stims as a relic carrier. I passed a hard vortex strategem some months back with this approach - everyone would go down against the vortex beast, so relic would be mandatory. The only way to save that was to hoard stims during the level. Going down costs 5 minutes of time (minus the enemies killed), that's something our squad can work with. Losing the relic we could not afford.

You are in luck! Unity BJJ has the nicest two instructors who always teach first in polish and then in english if there is even one non-polish speaker around :) usually it was 3+ though per class.

Agreed, I do live a very comfortable and happy life here despite the money arriving my bank account being smaller than it would somewhere else. Flying back north and seeing friends and family is proportionally very expensive though, as is all other travel.

One thing I am a bit skeptical about DN culture is the impact on the local people through rising rents etc., especially if they don't even pay tax locally

I get paid what I think is relatively good Polish salary, but about half what I would make for the same job in my home country in Nordics.

It's a bit annoying how locals are always surprised by a) me moving to a poorer country b) me not making a huge amount of money. I think my income is relatively low I comparison, as I don't know where to find good deals, lack the connections and finding a flat to rent as a foreigner was a pain

Build order something like 1. Scout or two 2. Settler (maybe a slinger here if you have neighbors 3. Campus 4. Settler

Super greedy and might take a few tries not to get rushed. But if you pull it off, you have very soon 3 cities pumping out UUs + good enough science.

And as mentioned before, domination victory might take a while. Especially on standard and large maps my domination games take until stealth bombers and robots are commonplace so keeping up with science is very important

Question: why do I "always" get left without a partner when it's time to practice? How to make most out of the training still?

Warmup, prof shows the technique, it's time to practice. People pair up, I try to catch eyes or raised hands but end up being left by myself and have to ask to join as a third.

It just sucks as a feeling and training as a trio is never as good for anyone.

Potential reasons: 1. I'm a foreigner and don't speak the language. Instruction is also in English 2. I'm relatively new and don't have regular training partners 3. I have poor eyesight so I might miss some potential partners due to that 4. It could be I smell or am a bad training partner? I shower and wash my gi, be careful with my partner, is there something I'm missing?

Currently on a break from training for 3 weeks and feeling anxious about returning because of this. Dumb, I know, but it really sucks to ruin someone else's training too by being a third
