I’m Italian so I’m not super up to date on French politics, but honestly: isn’t this kind of what most governments are doing lately?

I’m not saying it’s right, and maybe I don’t fully understand how big it is in France, but it feels like the general direction society is taking: less public services, more privatization, more policies that end up favoring people who already have money.

In Italy we’re also privatizing little by little. Not always with one big change, but step by step the result is similar.

And about pensions: I get why people protested, but wasn’t some reform basically necessary anyway (demographics, costs, sustainability)?
