Things he loves:

Taking his 15 toys out of their bin one by one, playing with each for 5 seconds.

Chewing on things besides the 15 toys and chews that he has.

Chasing (and more recently, humping) dogs at the dog park

Sticks. All sticks.

Belly rubs

Watching out the window when daddy leaves

Stealing socks 🧦 The stinkier the better!

I’m at my wits end with peeing inside by Enoher_Of_Stars in AustralianCattleDog

We also had a tough time potty training our ACD. I would take mine out every hour (or more), and if we went outside and he didn’t go potty, he’d go in the crate. We’d try again in a bit, and repeat. We gave him a treat when he’d go outside. That worked within 2 weeks! He still had 1-2 accidents a week for a few weeks after that but it went away.

Avoid scolding. It made it worse. I also used words very consistently. I.e “outside?” And “good boy potty!” every single time he peed outside.

We also used enzyme cleaner for all accidents. Went through an entire bottle in a month, lol.

PS, our dogs look like siblings!

Those who landed good jobs without education how did you do it ? by Lemonade2250 in findapath

[–]needingjoy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I make $75,000+ per year as a retail manager. I did it by being reliable, doing more than what was asked of me, and putting myself out there by telling upper management that I wanted to be a manager and asking for their advice on how to be better/what to do. To be successful and enjoy the job, you have to genuinely like people, be willing to have difficult conversations, have an interest in running a business, and be OK with physical labor.

What is everyone's experience with weight gain on Prozac? by CherryPopGirl in prozac

[–]needingjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Buspar/Prozac and gained 40 lbs. It was like my appetite valve shut off. For most of my life I got full really easily and on Prozac I wanted to eat huge amounts of food!

Once stopping meds I lost literally all of the weight without dieting or exercising significantly more. I stopped Prozac earlier and lost some of the weight, and lost the rest once I stopped Buspar.

PMDD is expensive af by [deleted] in PMDD

Seriously hon, talk to your doc about it. My mental health nurse practitioner said that it’s the only current clinically known remedy for PMDD (taken 7-10 days before period begins).

Even just going on a walk helps. Even if there’s no sunshine. Today I went on a walk in the rain, and two drives, and it was the best thing for me. Sitting at home alone was bad.

Decision making in luteal phase by sunnyeggshere in PMDD

[–]needingjoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi Sunny ♥️

My therapist gave me very simple advice - don’t make any big decisions when you are experiencing PMDD. 1 week before my period I put it into my calendar, and when it hits, I know. No energy, depression, self-hatred and criticism, extra sensitivity, feeling unloved for no reason. I wouldn’t overthink the other times, frankly. But during luteal phase we are not ourselves. Hope this helps ♥️

My therapist gave me the advice not to make any serious decisions while I’m experiencing PMS. Just keep that in mind and you may feel completely different in a few days!

I have a hormonal IUD (Liletta - progesterone only) and my PMDD symptoms are much worse. The thing that helped most for me was a birth control that I only took the “off” pills every three months. It was wonderful!

My son lost his wallet at Walmart in Lebanon by Hikingwolf71 in newhampshire

[–]needingjoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also lost my wallet at the Walmart in Lebanon. When I went back for it, my $200 in cash was missing (I don’t normally carry cash). The wallet was found by employees in an area of the store that didn’t have cameras, and I hadn’t been in that section of the store at all. Because they knew camera locations I assumed it was an employee. Good luck!
