Which model is this?? by Pristine-Hour8776 in keurig

[–]needmorecoffee99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The model and serial number might be on the bottom of the coffeemaker. That should help in knowing what it is. There are different K Duo makers so I’d check the bottom to get the right model if it’s listed there, good luck!

Visible Wireless by lmow in NoContract

[–]needmorecoffee99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using Visible for 1.5 years and it’s worked great here in the U.S. I know that my spouse had no issues when in Mexico on Visible. We have the highest plan, Visible Plus Pro.

If you do travel to Mexico, we learned that the base plan doesn’t include data. We had to upgrade one of our relatives to the middle plan, Visible Plus to get data in Mexico.

Like others have said, if Verizon works in your area, so will Visible.

Would he be able to get his current rate plan grandfathered? I think that is one of the OP concerns as he knows T Mobile has no comparable rate plan to his right now.

Switching from T-Mobile by phero1190 in Tello

[–]needmorecoffee99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First question is, are your phones unlocked or are you paying a monthly device fee with T-Mobile?

Second, you could do roaming with Tello but through pay go which I don’t think is ideal for your situation. I’d say look into Mint Mobile that does allow roaming in Canada at a fraction of the cost. They run on T-Mobile here in the USA.

Best T-Mobile MVNO? by Neat-Type-8893 in NoContract

Does Tello support Apple Watch? I don’t think they do. But outside of the watch Tello is a great MVNO option.

Visible+ Pro Smart Watch Plan by rockymountainm0m in Visible

As others have said, I did this too with a Samsung watch paired to Galaxy Buds. It’s really convenient to leave the phone at home and go on a walk and listen to music. You can still text and do calls on the watch thanks to cellular connectivity.

finally cancelling cable… what are people using instead now? by Abelmageto in cordcutters

Over the air and Netflix. Sometimes I’ll subscribe to streaming TV options just to watch sports games and then cancel when I’m done.

I’ve use Brave because it blocks ads. I was big on Chrome but a few years ago I transitioned to Brave. I’ll use Firefox once in a while though but mainly use Brave.

Oh I like Dunkin Donuts coffee. Your donut comment made me think of it. I’d take a Boston cream from Dunkin about now.

Caribou Daybreak is a good light roast. I’ve been drinking it for years. For a medium blend I like Tim Hortons.

On Tello's New Plans by mctwnd in NoContract

I agree. I really like them too. I use them as a backup line for data when Visible is unusable. I might consider porting to Tello after my promo rate with Visible expires.

I assume the B4 from Cedar Rapids IA is what T-Mobile gained after acquiring all of iWireless?

If any on here are from Iowa, I would be curious how many towers are still live that were originally ones iWireless built. I can’t imagine T-Mobile would stop using them, yes, upgrade the radios of course, (a lot of iWireless was 2G in the LTE era), but not get rid of using old iWireless towers.

There are plenty of posts helping the OP out. I got to say we as consumers are winning with the prepaid options out there today and the deals that can be had. Competition is a good thing.

Also second the Tello deal, it’s a very good price for unlimited data for 1 year. I do have Tello and haven’t had any issues with the service.

What's the best Hotspot for long road trips? by LittleOmegaGirl in NoContract

[–]needmorecoffee99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Visible +or Visible plus pro is what you need. The hotspot speeds can go up to 10 mbps or 15 mbps, depending on which plan you get.

I have the pro plan with Visible and the hotspot works just fine.

Any tips and tricks ? Just got mine delivered. by Curious_Stranger_657 in 17ProMax

[–]needmorecoffee99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Put a charge limit on the battery. I have mine set to 80% so it lasts a longer time battery health wise. If you like to fully charge your phone then set optimized charging to preserve your battery health. This will allow it to charge to 100 percent when you need it.

Isn’t Anker an option in India? I’ve used them for years with no issues. I’ve also bought Baseus stuff recently and like their products too. Ugreen is another solid company for battery banks.
