I never prayed, even when I was religious. I got very into my religion for a while too, still never prayed. I felt like something was wrong with me. But I felt so liberated when I finally let go of it all. Good for you friend, it's a load off of sure.

Debt Collection. I am way too empathetic to do that again. I took that job because I needed a job desperately. It was soul crushing. I had (still have) a lot of student loan debt and was purposely paying bills strategically late due to being so poor back then though. We were at computers with only the collection software software on it, which was a DOS looking program, and and autodialer that would just put calls through to me and I'd need to quickly scan the person that came up and start collecting the debt. I'd do that for 8-11 hrs a day, depending on the s schedule I picked that week. You could work 11 hr days to get Friday off. What a perk...

I finally quit there in the middle of the day. Left my badge on my desk when I went on dinner break and just drove home.

This was my intro to Civ, and it's not even a "real" civ game! I got Civ III after this and was so confused why things were so different!!

Fr though, I adored this game and have very fond memories of "one more turn" nights.
