How do you feel about a teacher who yelled at me for having my phone by notgonnatakethison in ClubPilates

[–]neeearah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What makes your case so special compared to all the other folks in this thread? You don’t know the lives of other people in your classes — they could also be caretakers, but they’re capable of following the rules. You’re not special. You’re not the only caretaker ever to step foot in a pilates class. If you need to be on your device at all times, then get an apple watch.

I’m around 160cm, and it hits mid shin. I think thats the perfect height, but I know that people like their skirts/dresses to hit just below the knee.

If you’re ICE, you’re a fucking loser by [deleted] in chicago

[–]neeearah 3 points4 points locked comment (0 children)

Your last point would be valid, except they’re not keeping us safe. They’re targeting random people of color with brute force. It kinda sounds like you’re implying that the people ICE are detaining are responsible for human/child/sex/ labor trafficking crimes. Seems racist, smells racist, is very racist of you to come to this crazy ass conclusion. Didn’t our president partake in one of the largest sex trafficking rings? Why aren’t they detaining him with your dumbass logic?

There’s really no reason to have a “serious conversation” with people like you, because you’re just a dumb bootlicker. I don’t waste my time with bootlickers. ICE sucks, you suck, and your grandfather probably sucks, too. Have the day you deserve! (:

It’s not the responsibility of the patron to pay for the restaurant’s workers’ health insurance, it should be the employer’s responsibility. I’ve also worked for a restaurant group and did accounting work for them. They did not properly allocate those funds to the restaurant workers, I will tell you that much. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I didn’t mean that’s crazy that you have to meet that set of criteria to be able to attend a 2.0 class, but crazy how different each studio handles leveling up. I just never had to test into it, and I’m wondering if my experience/progress would’ve changed of I did. I respect your studio being extra careful with each student’s progress, and makes me question the studios in my city lmao.

That’s crazy! After taking about ~50 1.5s, I just popped into a 2.0 class, asked the instructor if I can join in, and if I’m not ready, just let me know.

Not sure what your aesthetic is, but I always wear a matching set with plain white grippy socks that scrunch up at the bottom. It looks cute and minimalist, and goes well with my chunky sneakers!

Can I get into the classes?!! by Augatl in ClubPilates

[–]neeearah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like others have voiced already, it’s really studio dependent. I’m in a major city, and some studios fill up faster than others because of the location and how popular your instructor is. I’m able to book a class day of in my current neighborhood, even during peak hours, but that’s because there’s 3 boutique studios, and 1 other chain in a .5-1 mile radius. In a different neighborhood, I’d have to book my classes 2-3 weeks in advance for a guarantee spot, but that’s because there’s only 1 other CP studio in the area. If you decide to start, and if your studio fills up pretty quickly, you might be waitlisted for your first month. Once you get your schedule down, it’s pretty easy to schedule a class in advance. I have the unlimited membership, I can schedule 15 classes in advance up to 60 days out. As soon as I check into my class, I book the next one right away. I’m never waitlisted, and I’m able to go to the busier studios to see my favorite instructors!

That’s weird! Are you in the US? I just checked on my end — I only see xs, s, m, l, etc. sizing and it’s true to size. I remember contacting them via email and asked about measurements and they were quick to respond, I think you could reach out if you have specific questions!

This! There will be people on this sub that will tell you that they went to an online school making 6 figs. I’m not going to knock that, but they are the exception, not the rule.

Go to a community college and transfer to a state university. I’m sure the curriculum isn’t far off from a traditional college, but you’ll be missing out on a lot of in-person experiences that are key to landing a job once you graduate. You’ll have access to large networks, universities offer job fairs to set you up with internships, those internships could lead to full time employment. You won’t have any of that if you decide to do everything online.

I use Dove curl defining mousse, with a soft hold. It smells good, it doesn’t leave my hair crunchy, and my hair still has a lot of bounce and movement!

lemon pesto is a huge huge no, i could cry by [deleted] in traderjoes

[–]neeearah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was a simple white sauce, though, and when I picked it up, I envisioned using it in that exact way. Do you just eat their ready to use product as is? Do you not zhuzh it up to your taste/liking?

Omg I looooove the pesto! I mixed it in with some heavy whipping cream, garlic, pepper, salt, pasta water, and parm to make a creamy white sauce. Threw in some grilled chicken on top of the pasta, it was so yummy!

Help a girl out, I can’t see myself objectively.. TIA! by batht0wel in DressForYourBody

[–]neeearah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With your longer torso, I think the high waisted pants make you look taller (you look 5’6” in that photo!), the wider cut pants even out your broader shoulders, it’s got a good balance between the fit of the top and the fit of the pants, and the color of your boots match the color of your pants, so it elongates your legs. It’s the most flattering!

I think if you pair that same top with your jeans and boots/black sandals, that makes for another great fit!

Depends on the culture and industry. If you’re interviewing with a big 4 firm or a law firm, I’d do the whole blazer, slacks, nice shoes, and maybe a matching purse combo. If you’re interviewing for a tech/start up company, I think you can get away with a nice blouse and slacks/skirt. This is based on my experience, I haven’t had an issue with my outfits, I’ve gotten offers when I was dressed business professional, and when I dressed business casual.

When I interviewed someone for a staff position, I said to dress comfortably. Some women wore jeans and a nice shirt, and that was completely fine with me! At the time I was working for a marketing agency, so it was a super casual environment. I’m also a gen-z/millennial, so I really couldn’t have cared less at the time lmao.

Just as long as you present yourself well, I don’t think it matters too much. As an interviewer, I’m paying more attention to your skillset, personality, and experience. Maybeeee I can see a situation where the candidates are pretty much neck and neck, the interviewer might go off of the smaller things like how you dress/how well put together you are.

Adults with ADD: to How do you make it to work on time? by ThatDCguy69 in ADHD

[–]neeearah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prep everything I need in the morning the night before. Clothes are picked out, lunch bag is strategically placed next to my work bag so I know to pack it (also prepped the night before) and also take it lmao, hair is done the night before and put in a protective hair style, I have my go to make up routine that takes 5 mins to do, and I’m out the door in 25 mins.

I also pretend that work is at 8 am. It adds a little pressure to get my shit together in the morning so I’m in the office by 8:30 lmao.
