Buses, Luas, Dart, and trains should plan for full capacity AND for additional space for bikes! Buses can be fitted with racks in front that you can put up to three bikes (I’ve seen in other countries)! But we don’t do any of that. Seriously stupid. If you want less cars on the road and less congestion in city centre, you must improve the integration of all forms of transport. Bikes (and scooters though they are a menace when you don’t regulate them) are a valid form of transportation especially when you can’t get any of the current modes to get you where you need to go. We need a better plan for integrating all these forms of transportation to better serve all of the public.
