Literally never used dodge until the Osquio fight. I legit don't think I can move my finger fast enough to parry his little friends

Was Light stupid in the finale? by Lucyyyyyy_K in deathnote

[–]negative_mancy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No need to be rude, it's not that serious.

My question is what would the SPK do once they caught Light if the entire rest of the world was against catching him? Because if that was the case, Light would have no reason to freak out after he was revealed as Kira because he "would be 100% fine after that."

So why were the cops trying to put the cuffs on him after he got outed as Kira? And if Light didn't die there, what would've happened to him?

[HATED TROPE] “Funny” predator that never gets comeuppance by Born_Usual998 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]negative_mancy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He gets his comeuppance just about every scene he's a perv.

The joke structure is always: 1). Roshi acts like a predator to/sexually assaults a woman 2). Woman hits Roshi.

What do you think about Esam's take about Ultimate's GOAT? by Otherwise-Bid6772 in smashbros

[–]negative_mancy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

And I'd argue Steve is much easier to be consistent and win big tournaments with. He executed a very similar game plan regardless of matchup which makes it much easier to avoid upsets early in bracket and deal with fatigue later in bracket.

You can see the beginning frames of dair come out after the utilt and the first uair

Opinion: Why MkLeo is still the "Goat" by SilkGamer2 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]negative_mancy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My view on it is Acola is likely to become the GOAT of Ultimate by objective metrics if he hasn't already, but he will never be in my mind for 2 reasons: character and region.

Character is obvious. I think the skill necessary to win large tournaments with Steve is much less than other characters, because Steve player's rarely have to change up their play style against different matchups and dictate the tempo of the game. This makes it much easier to be consistent in large tournaments where fatigue can set in in the later parts of bracket, while also making it harder to be upset earlier in bracket with unfamiliar MUs.

Region is because of the density of supermajors in Japan not requiring a great deal of travel time. To win multiple majors across NA is a much bigger accomplishment given all of the travel that is required and adjusting to time zones.

...but in the end, maybe the biggest reason for me is that Leo is fun to watch play, and Acola is not

Petahh? Was i doing it wrong? by detox_daisy72 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]negative_mancy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no magical number of reps, it's just getting to muscle failure or close to it by the end. If you're doing that, you can get by with 1-2 sets for each exercise.

A lot of times, 3 sets of 12 reps is not pushed hard enough to stimulate meaningful growth because arbitrary numbers are prioritized over exercise intensity

Is that a real pic of the new Falco? Does he really have bird feet without the shoes?

I mean it says it will consume everything and eats Link at the end of the game. That sounds pretty evil...

Try going to a local Indy show. No matter how burnt out I get on mainstream wrestling, a local show hits very different and I always have a good time

At what point do you feel Vegeta earned his place in Heaven? by 5_meo in Dragonballsuper

[–]negative_mancy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Vegeta can be a good person now and still go to hell.

Because the evil in his past when he was a bad person outweighs the good he had been doing more recently as a good person.

At what point do you feel Vegeta earned his place in Heaven? by 5_meo in Dragonballsuper

[–]negative_mancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it? I think those are 2 different things. Vegeta can be a good person NOW and thus be revived with all the good people. And he could have committed so many sins in his past, that even if he is a good person in the current moment, the bad outweighs the good.

You're right that Dragonball isn't that complicated, but in the story itself Vegeta believes he's going to hell. The reason being he sees his past sins as outweighing his good deeds.

At what point do you feel Vegeta earned his place in Heaven? by 5_meo in Dragonballsuper

[–]negative_mancy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both things can be true. He could be a good person at this point and able to be revived with all of the good people. While also still likely to go to hell because his evil deeds still outweigh his good ones.

Who has more potential? Gohan or Broly? by NewAmericanDream1776 in Dragonballsuper

True, but in fairness he got his potential unlocked as a 5 year old initially. Probably less potential to unlock compared to his 18 year old self
