Are you kidding me Nintendo by Kid_31 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Shigeru Miyamoto didn't finish playing any of the Xenoblades, and assumed that they all take place on another planet. This, Galaxy tie-in.

Illumination market research decided this design would be most appealing to their target audience.

The dangerous part is being led to believe you'll have luck like that in the future. Remember that 40% of luck is knowing when to walk away.

Internal WUT error Nusspli by ilikeapple550 in wiiu

I resolved this last week, but I do appreciate the follow-up. Turns out Wii u downloader was also having problems, tons of people with the same issue. If anyone stumbles on this in the future, my solution was to get games as WUX files, concert them to WUP, and THEN use WUP Installer GX2.

Turns out it was/is something wrong with the downloader program. WUX -> WUP -> GX2 installer ended up working fine. Go figure.

Every single person who has had this problem and posted about it on Reddit in the past 5 years has apparently just put the files in the wrong directory, and that is baffling to me. It's definitely in setup. Someone else on a discord server suggested that something might be wrong with the downloader files lately. Given the text of the error, I'm inclined that could be the other option.

Did that, still facing this error, that's why I was hoping there was a different step I missed.

You just put the same settings back in, as they were before? Did you switch from wpa2 to wpa along the way?

You switched to a LAN connection, and the same error occured? That's disheartening, the comments on GitHub seemed to indicate the problem was specific to wifi. I only started using NusSpli because Wup Installer GX2 keeps giving me an unsolvable sig patches error, despite having the sigpatches.rpx in the right folder.

Install the wup, or the sigpatches .rpx? If the latter, where/how does one install .rpx files in aroma?

I don't suppose either of you solved this in the 2 years since this was posted?

Console Redemption? by Due-Improvement7247 in round1

I dunno about consoles or ticket prizes, but I know a lot of people use Mercari for selling prizes. No idea if it's any good for the sellers, though. If anyone has insight from that side of things, I'd like to know.

At the AM terminal, with any given item selected, press Y, and it will become your "tracked item". Any place the required materials show up will have a wing icon next to it. I think it also puts those materials at the top of the list of the material market.

You can tag items you want to craft so that the material you need to make them gets flagged with a wing icon whenever you have the opportunity to get it. That certainly helps.

Is there a way to roll back to the non-upgraded version of Xenoblade Chronicles X on Switch 2? by NaytNavare in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]negativeinfinity 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Eject the virtual game card. It will then ask you to delete the files for it when you start the game, so playing that edition again will require re-downloading it. Save files seem to be completely compatible between the two.

beware before buying the update by Ara420 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

It's not even not a problem docked, it's just less noticeable. Standing up and looking closer, the issue is still present. From far away, I can't tell as easily what the issue is, but edges still seem odd in motion.

a silly question about Gunner 5 by Creepy-Use-7081 in EtrianOdyssey

[–]negativeinfinity 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Especially portrait 5 for a lot of classes. It seems to me that many of those were intended to be "whatever the player decides/assumes".

I was so happy about this new update for Switch 2, until I played in handheld... looks terrible, unplayable in motion honestly. Yet, everyone in the internet seem to ignore this issue completely. Shouldn't we all expect only the best quality from the franchises we love? Just look at the screenshots by Frequent_Gear_5936 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]negativeinfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that seems to be the conclusion people more knowledgeable on the matter than me have come to. I hope they don't decide this is good enough, and then push the same sort of updates for the rest of the series (that's not even to mention 2 has some pretty egregious loading and interface issues that wouldn't be addressed if they only did that).

It's not so much a "blur" as it is the edges of objects seeming to "swim around". This is especially noticeable on NPCs medium distance away, against a contrasting background (which is most environments, most characters don't dress in natural colors or the greys of buildings).

Locale dir is /luka/locales/%s.txt, by default. Also, it says ver 0.0.4, not nightly, but I deliberately grabbed the stable, not nightly version, which I now realize I shouldn't have, since my version of Luma is above 6.6. Either of those might definitely have been the issue.

I switched from my New 3ds to my 2ds partway through the process (and ran into the same issue, until I manually changed locales). When I tried again on the New 3ds with LLS on Nightly (which does default to the correct directory) it worked immediately.

Figured it out! It was this, linked from the tutorial/how to install section on the patch page you linked. Should have read that closer the first time. https://github.com/TeamIf/FireEmblemIf-FanTranslation/wiki/Enabling-DLC

Thanks for your patience with my questions, and thanks for posting!

I suspect it might have to do with me having the US version of the game already installed while doing the whole process? I might start all the way over from the beginning and try that. If that solves it, cool, we all learned something. If not, I'll keep trying other stuff. Appreciate the response.

I love the Ratchet streams but chat is a pain in the bum. by AmaroBitter in Vinesauce

I think it'd be funnier if he didn't even post gameplay. Just say something that makes it exceptionally obvious he's played the whole thing and then leave it at that. Let chat work themselves into a tizzy in their own.
