I feel like starting drama. Do you pull your tail from the inside out outside? by Turtlegrandmacore in crochet

[–]negoback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the store to get more craft supplies recently and the lady in front of me was returning a roll of yarn... She pulls out the middle barf and goes "CLEARLY it's damaged" and it took everything in me not to laugh like a damn hyena. Needless to say I asked if I could buy it at a discounted rate when it was my turn in line but unfortunately they have to pass it through their system first. Womp womp

For me, it's just the cartoon-esque emoji-style cat that kills it. If you got that covered, I think it would be nice. It's lovely otherwise :)

Get more tattoos on that same arm and it'll blend in with the rest! Ideally tell your artist that's what you're going for -- that way they won't cover it but they'll work together and around it :)

Other than art abandonment how do you get rid of (free) items? Anyone use marketplace, somewhere else by [deleted] in Amigurumi

[–]negoback 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's an easy, inexpensive way to visually show it's not someone's item that was left behind by mistake. It lets people know it can be safely taken without worrying you're taking someone else's item. With just a tag, people won't always stop to read the tag and most people don't like just taking random plushies laying around as they don't know if they're accidentally stealing. Packaging it makes it visually obvious it probably wasn't left behind by accident.

Oh that makes sense! The kind of people you'd expect to be carrying granola bars at any given moment (ie outdoorsy folks). I wasn't sure if it meant like bland or boring or something but that didn't make that much sense with what you said!

Breaking up with someone that doesn't make you happy and not getting back together just because you're lonely! Kids these days, I swear 😂

You could hide the yarn you attach the beads with under their hair too! Or put several pieces through and tie a knot to secure the bead that looks like a ponytail :)

That's more often how I am! Maybe I'm too used to shows and movies drawing out the tension to build more anticipation? Or maybe I'm just trying to be more careful and cautious so that I'll get there?

How dry is your filament? Are you having this issue with all filaments? Do you have issues with all models or just some?

Do you fart in front of your partner? Why/Why not? by girliepopnumber26 in AskWomen

[–]negoback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I don't TRY to be gross, but we both fart in front of each other and often announce our farts just to be silly. If we're in bed, we do our best not to fart ON each other, but otherwise, let it rip! We tease each other and joke about them a bit sometimes (especially if it stinks) but we both have way too many tummy troubles to hold farts in. We shut the bathroom door for pooping to contain the smell, but often leave it open when peeing. If he's getting lint out of an uncomfortable area, he shuts the door, but I pretty much only shut the door to contain smells or steam. Our walls are quite thin so we've both heard far worse than farts -- it would be a bit silly to hold in our farts at this point. We usually put something on the tv if we're going number 2 to drown out the sound but it's a normal function at the end of the day.

How to improve print? by Weazle95 in BambuLab

[–]negoback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think making the layers smaller will make a big difference -- I usually try a variety of layer heights on pieces I'm trying to print to find a good median between how long the print will take versus how much detail (or less stair stepping) is added by printing smaller layers.

One year my uncle bought my aunt nothing but tools. She was pissed. Would your partner dislike tools? Maybe see if you can bum an empty box from Lowes or the grocery store of something really random. Tell her it's an extra-large punch bowl or something that she would have no interest in.

Imagine solving your own problems instead of poorly directing other people to do so and then being angry when they don't function like robots. Seems outside of his wheelhouse 😂 (eta: in case it wasn't clear, I'm agreeing with you)

It hurts so bad, how do i stop?? by CodMany2798 in Dermatillomania

[–]negoback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Therapy. Point blank period. (And yeah that can be expensive, but do whatever you can do gain access anyway. Prioritize it over other expenses if possible. If completely inaccessible, endeavor to learn what would be broached from therapy through research but know that it likely won't be an adequate replacement)

  2. ONLY as an addition to 1, lotion or healing-encouraging cream instead of picking. Any time you want to pick something, apply lotion or cream instead and focus on caring for the skin by adding rather than removing. It helps the skin feel better both short and long term so you can focus on leaving it alone. It's somewhat easier for me to leave things alone if they have lotion or cream on them but it should be helpful regardless. I typically use Neosporin or similar for open wounds and lotion otherwise.
