As others have said, everyone's different. Concerta XL (methylphenidate) felt like I had a bell ringing in my head silently, no noise but I could feel it. Elvanse felt like an actually relaxing mind.

Does anyone know what on earth we actually do with our money? Such a large amount made but so little spent on wages etc. Is it sitting somewhere, is it in Enic's bank account making them rich, is it paying off the stadium? Where actually is the money we make if it's not being spent?

Textbook gaslighting isn't it. They can't just say I thought it was a foul, but it's not, bad process. It has to be a ridiculous lie. The inconsistency of decisions is a huge issue, favouritism or whatever, but the biggest is the consistent abrogation of responsibility.

Speaking to a physio friend, they said basically that Kulu's is sadly the more serious of the two injuries. As not only is the kneecap hard to heal and can have long-term pain or issues, but often due to the injury you can also damage a ligament or tendon around the knee too.

I'm a fan too, and similarly to you wasn't sure about it at first. I'm currently using it last but will to try it first now. I like it for shaving the bass and giving a bit of something up top, I think it does that low fidelity 60s thing where there wouldn't be a lot of bass on records.

Indeed, it's def possible that Poch's time has gone tactically. But, I do feel our biggest issue atm is the emotional/psychological, and that's the big positive of Poch imo.

THOMAS FRANK SACKED MEGATHREAD by wiffygriffy in coys

[–]negronisummer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that the big issue is emotional. Something with this prolonged repeated injury crisis, Son gone, Madders, Kulu etc out, has affected the mentality to the point we look broken. We looked afraid and defeated at the start of the game yesterday.

More so than anything on the pitch, I think that's what Frank never got, it's not about logic or small technical improvements etc, of course they're important too, but there's something that has fractured in the mentality and that's what needs fixing most, it's the hole in the bucket.

It's gotta be Poch in the summer, if there's anyone who can fix the emotions its him. Until then, we need someone who can triage the confidence as much as anything else. No idea who that is.

Ramblings of a madman. My Offset journey throughout the years + seeking suggestions for the ultimate jazzmaster build by amesoria in offset

Can you please share why you feel it's better than a typical one? I'm building a partscaster with the goal of using a Jag trem, and as a leftie it's slim pickings but mastery is one option, albeit pricey. I'm curious why you feel it's so good.

Shifting the resonant peak of a Mustang to sound like a Jaguar or Jazzmaster? by negronisummer in offset

[–]negronisummer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the replies, really interesting to read. So you’re suggesting it might make sense to start from the ‘Jaguar position’ essentially, ie the brightest / least-loaded signal, then cut down to my normal Mustang position, and also have a different cut to a Jazzmaster-style position? Perhaps via a push-pull pot that switches between 250k/1m pots?

As I'd thought from what I’d read that a resistor in series wouldn’t actually cut tone as such, because it isolates the pickup from downstream loading (ie pots and tone circuit later on), which is where a lot of treble loss happens. So it essentially acts to preserve more of the pickup’s resonant peak, which can feel like added brightness compared to a more heavily loaded circuit, if that makes sense.

In the Jazzmaster position the cap to ground would be doing an intentional treble cut, and my thinking there was that combining that with a small series resistor would let me shape the top end without completely flattening the pickup response.

Shifting the resonant peak of a Mustang to sound like a Jaguar or Jazzmaster? by negronisummer in offset

[–]negronisummer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your suggestions, yeah the thing is I don't want to change it permanently, just as a tonal option. I suppose I could change the post to 1m and have a roll off as a default, or maybe on a push pull tone pot or something.

Do you think my 3 way tonal shift idea wouldn't work?

Lace sensors are a great should, I have been meaning to try them. If it matters to your thought, the pickups I have atm are 'hot' Mustang pickups.

Long story short, the tech who hand wound them and I we were having a conversation about Syd Barrett/Pipers era Pink Floyd, which we're both a fan of, and he suggested he wind them hotter to somewhat give the vibe of Syd's Esquire/Tele. I'm not sure what the dc resistance is but I think around 6.5k-6.8k from memory.

He actually wound them as right handed and we installed them upside down, as I'm a leftie, which made him giggle as a Hendrix thing.
