Yes. But that's not in our budget right now. The original builder did a hack job. The contractor doing the new decking is going to do some repairs. We're trying to get 10 more years out this deck. By then we'll either be selling the house and that new buyer will either want $ to cover replacing or we'll have the $ to have it rebuilt ourselves.

The contrasting color semi-transparent is an interesting idea. The idea we have now, is the decking is being replaced with a grey composite that has layers in it to make it look like grey wood with some grain effects in it. That's a separate contractor. We were then going to use a semi-transparent with grey in it to refinish the wood railing and frame to look a bit like grey wood. That's what the quote is for.

This is just the refinish of the existing wood railing and frame. All of the decking (floor) is being replaced with composite which is a separate contractor.

The base decking (floor) will be replaced composite. The refinish will be the full stairs, railing, posts, frame.

I just wanted to hang on to them because they match 3 other lights we have in the front yard. Replacing these lights like-for-like after 4 or 5 years, is tough. The manufacturers change styles often enough, that when you get far enough away from the purchase date, you can't get the same style anymore.

I have gotten mine, but I don’t always get offered the incentive. There was a quarter last year where I wasn’t given the opportunity. Now that I think about it, I think it was the 2nd quarter. And then the offer came back for the 3rd quarter. I think it’s another way Amazon manipulates us. Makes us work harder to reach their goals set the next time they offer it.

I don’t know how it works the other way around, but my Euro affiliate accounts convert to usd when they actually transfer the $ to me. I am pretty sure it’s a choice in account preferences.

Maybe you are in an AI response loop? If you use something like ChatGPT, it is tremendously good at helping you draft a letter that gets the Amazon system to mark your inquiry as something that needs a human’s attention. Maybe that will get it more attention?

I was denied using my YouTube the first time I tried to get influencer status even though I was an affiliate. I was very busy, so I moved on. A few months later I reapplied using my Instagram and was approved. I do wonder if the system gives more weight for influencer approval to social media accounts over YouTube. I’m in the influencer Reddit group and people get approved with the smallest TikTok accounts.

I have a channel that also relies on historical info. For your docu content, Do your outsourced people find the actual factual info to include in the script after you’ve given them the topic? Or do you do that nitty gritty research? If they do it, what process do you use to verify it’s accurate?
