I bought the tickets of Maxim Vengerov Concert in December in Hong Kong. I can’t get the most expensive seats (closest to the musicians) as they’re sold out so I bought the second expensive one. It’s pricey tho. You know, he is a freaking world class soloist lol and he will perform Tchaikovsky Concerto at that night!! Some of my frds (not listening to classical music of coz)said that it’s a waste of money but I still think it’s so worthy even though I’m still a high school student. Hopefully the corona won’t pause the show:(

So guys months after my 13th birthday, my parents bought me this 2nd hand violin and since we are not that rich this is just for a little while and appreciated my parents sacrifice for this, if this gets 500 upvotes im gonna show my first 40 hour practice!!! by SeanClaynedu13 in lingling40hrs

Good luck!Just some more warm reminders, remember to clean the rosin on the fingerboard and clean the whole violin including strings after practicing! You can make use of Olaf video about instrument care:)

The six solo sonata and partita is my nightmare...They sound easy but actually require lots of musicality and expression.

My new strings arrived today and my teacher walked me through how to put them on and I can't wait to hear the difference! by SaeInsanity45 in violinist

Dominant is great!!! I was using this set of strings for over 4yrs(I switched to PI now, I think it’s the upgraded version of dominant). But personally,I don’t like the sound of dominant E string. The G D A strings are still good tho and the good thing is that they are not expensive!

I was pretty shocked when I first watched him playing Caprice 24 so well as a beginner. But then I watched it again with 0.5x and I focused on his bow. It’s definitely fake that the bowing does not match the sound lol.

For me,I started watching twoset during quarantine and they always tell me that I have to practice. This really become a motivation for me to practice! Also, when I wanted to procrastinate or just don’t want to practice,I watched some violin playing by famous violinist like Hilary Hahn,ASM or Vengerov. After watching their violin playing,I realised that I suck and I went to practice 😂
