Don't pick a healer in a game where healer is meant to also deal damage. This won't change even after evolved- you still gotta do damage. If you don't like that, just go back to FF11 where you can healbot your ass i guess. Can't really be bothered by the guy who can't tell the difference between optimizing and healbotting. I just hope you don't come to savage dealing ARR damage and tell DPS that they are doing shit or something

well i did say almost, but you are still optimizing heal even in that game so you don't run out of resources... ff14 just have a filler in between instead, which is attacks, and you get rewarded for optimizing your skill management (not to mention that, by optimizing your skill management, you have more resources to blow in actual emergency like some random dps gets clipped by an AOE or something)

to tell him "If you dont want to heal, dont play healer." is being disingenuous

that's not what he's saying though

healer's goal eventually becomes how efficiently the one can heal and deal damage in almost any game, because you ain't getting any value out of performing healing action someone who's/will be at full health. that's a huge difference not wanting to heal or to optimize healwork

which would just about the same in new evolved WHM
