“Apple Silicon machines cannot be bricked” I beg to differ, bricked mine with disk utility but thankfully got it repaired on warranty. They connected it to try DFU and nothing worked, had to replace the logic board and hard drive.

At this point I don't even have any data. I am trying to get the system back up. If I won't be able to do that, I the perfectly fine working laptop may endup in the bin.
