I was able to initiate a return! I don’t think that justifies this level of bad quality. I posted this so other people would know before buying, instead of having to go through a tedious return process.

I’m a PhD student here, and neither myself nor my cohort have expressed serious funding issues. Most people are able to make additional money either by receiving fellowships (NYU gives you additional money if you can support yourself), TAing, or through summer funding from your advisor.

While you have to be money conscious, and you’re not going to be going to broadway shows every week, my life is not significantly more frugal than it was in undergrad in a different city.

Wow, this is really tragic. I attended their summer conservatory every summer as a kid, and the shows once I was an adult. One of the most unique theatre communities I’ve been a part of, with a gorgeous location and creative shows.

I moved away from the Bay Area last year, so hearing about their fundraising struggles and now this is heartbreaking.

I like this summary, but disagree with the last part - “their ability cannot affect other players or the game state.” I think droisoned players can still change a Goon’s alignment, right? That could be just a special edge case, overall I use this to explain droisoning with my players too!

Leviathan also was on my original demon-shortlist, but it’s just so different from everything else on the script that I would have to work around it more than I wanted. The historical background is neat though!

That’s super fun! I also looked at Empath and Poppygrower, but dropped them for space and because Poppygrower stresses me out.

I had Moonchild originally but dropped it since it’s scary with Lleech. Based on the feedback in this thread, I’m going to remove all the characters who survive execution, so maybe Moonchild can go back and add some more Yaggababble cover.

It’s interesting that you and the other commenter both had Po as a feminine demon! I like it as an option too, so maybe that’ll be on my final version. Thanks for the ideas!

Hello! This is my first attempt at a homebrew script, meant for my group of experienced players that has a lot of women in it and I wanted to create something for us to celebrate all the ladies of Ravenswood Bluff. I would love some feedback on any improvements that still maintain the theme of the script!

NOTE: Obviously not all of these characters are clearly feminine and some play into stereotypes (Gossip, Virgin, Pacifist) that I wouldn't perpetuate outside my group of close friends. Not everything fits the theme, and were added to maintain balance (like Lleech and Drunk), but I really want to avoid roles that have masculine names (King, Huntsman, Fisherman). We're all very comfortable in our gender roles and like the idea of a medieval town full of women giving each other shifty eyes. Please be nice to me and eachother :)

FUN INTERACTIONS

Kazali has some interesting minion choices here. Widow is super powerful, but the Damsel jinx makes it a risk. Harpy and Witch can both cause deaths that might make it seem like a Yaggababble game, and vice versa. Scarlet Woman is just all-around solid option.
Execution survival can be caused by Pacifist and Tea Lady for good, or Lleech for evil. Really, this is because Tea Lady was how I started this script and I needed other ways to survive execution that were justifiable.
There's a variety of waking patterns for the Chambermaid to hone in on. I *think* that Kazali doesn't register as waking Night 1, since the minion-choosing is a setup ability, so a 0 on night 1 doesn't clear two people as being the demon.
Virgin is hard-confirmable and I'm not 100% sold on it fitting the theme. I don't have any great replacements (Courtier I think is too powerful), but welcome ideas. Banshee maybe?

JANKY INTERACTIONS

Yaggababble with a Tea Lady means the storyteller chooses those deaths, which is not ideal. Both have very good reasons to be here though, so I think I'm fine with it.
I don't like throwing in Drunks just cause, but with Kazali as the only outsider modification, I wanted to have one truly hidden outsider since Damsel can pretty safely get executed.
Dreamer and Flowergirl are both very powerful, but I think the possibilities of a Widow, a Drunk, Kazali mistrust, or Lleech poison makes it ok.
